Thoughts:

-I'm not gonna lie, Cullimore didn't look too bad today. Hendry, however, was another story. He was absolutely brutal and totally brought that pairing to shit. Hope Cullimore can keep it up, we can really use a solid veteran back there.

-What can you say about Hossa and Sharp? Are their backs hurting yet? Because they are carrying this team.

-Turco was incredible. I can't believe anyone would say he has had a bad start to this season... he has been a major factor in every single one of his wins -- not sure what more people expect from the guy, he made at least 4 crucial saves (two of them were not only at key moments in the game, but they were highlight reel material)... not only that but he sprung rush that lead into another goal tonight.

-Scott.... don't dress this guy ever again. Bickell proved tonight that he can set the tone (and we still have guys like Boynton, Dowell, Brouwer, Seabrook, and probably others that I am missing that can do the job). Meanwhile, Scott has yet to drop the gloves or intimidate anyone.

-Who would have thought Kopecky would have been above a point per game?

-Skille had an average night, but certainly not bad.

-Keith was bad, hope he turns it around soon. Seabs had a good game IMO.

Hjarlmarsson 2 games for a border line hit.

Hossa is sent head first into the boards during the 3rd and NO call? Are you kidding me? One of the most dangerous plays in hockey IMO. He could have broken his neck.

Watching Hossa's 2nd goal some things I notice on the play. Kopecky is on Halaks back door slamming his stick. After the goal Jackman and Oshie go after Kopecky. Cullimore skates in and shoves Jackman away. Several times.

If Cullimore can keep this up I'm with Tony. Let him play. He was NOT bad when he left here for Florida. His numbers were very impressive considering his numbers in Chicago.

His vet experience has no question. IMO it was his abilities that did and so far, I'm impressed.

And Tony while I agree with you on Scott, NO ONE will go with him. They back down every time. Winchester must have backed down three times tonight. That's either impressive no one will fight with him, or a sign they no if they don't eventually his abilities on the ice will benefit them.

I didn't think any of our defensemen had a "good" game. Especially Seabrook. I mean, he was comical on the first goal that they scored, and was walked at least twice after that as well. Keith and Seabs were equally shit.

Yet they only gave up two goals. Turco must just be the shit!

Duncan had 5 "GA". Most I've ever seen. Maybe he shouldn't be skating 30 minutes a night.

Good call, Mr. positive. ;)

Hossa is carrying this team on his back.

Sharpie, too.
It was my plan all along, I mentioned the S-word and it worked!

I also thought Cullimore did an alright job. Most of the time I didn't notice him on the ice, which is good when talking about d-men. Other than that, the Hawks looked quite flat until Hossa thought it would be best to do it himself. Hossa and Sharp are the only reason the Hawks have a winning record.

I thought Turco was fantastic, and he bailed out Seabs/Keith no less than 10 times tonight. Only 5 GA huh? Seabrook with 2? Shit, they had 15 between the two of them. I hate the TA/GA stat. Completely inaccurate. Keith was a giveaway machine, but what is with Seabs and getting caught flat-footed this year? He was pylon'd no less than three times tonight. I think I remember that happening three times all of last year... I hope these guys aren't exhausted... If they both have an off year because of how much hockey they played last year, we're in some trouble. Let's just hope it's a slow start.

Not as much as Bolland. We do though don't we?

Theres always the trade deadline to get Ladd back!! I would crap my pants.

Teams gaining strides. I have seen improvements in everyones games. Some less noticable than others but it's coming along. We have a good record right now. Keep it up until Campbell comes back and some of the newer guys get comfy with their roles and this team is heading towards another strong season.

The troubling parts of the game right now will correct themselves. Everyteam is going through them.

Hmm,

I thought 3 of our d-man played a real good game.

Hjalmarsson; looked liked #4 from last year, best game for him this season.

Culli; Played like he was supposed to do when he firsr arrived to the Hawks.

Boynton; I hear alot of ppl in here that cant stand Boynton's play so fare. I think he had a real solid game again and fill his role well.

Hossa need to start playing hockey now...

LOL! It was a TAP IN thanks to Kane. ANYONE on this team would have scored there. Kane had Halak so whacked with confusion he didn't know what to do. Similar to the play Kane did on Lalime the other night. Keep Sharp there and Kane-Sharp will rack up points.
Yep... it didn't matter who it was, Kane made a beautiful pass just at the right time.

Alright I won't lie, when we went down 2-0 I pretty much wrote the game off and started messing around on the computer but kept the game on the TV. And just wow....wow...
...Our 3rd line has problems without Ladd. I said it when they traded him and I'll say it again, we will and do MISS LADD....
....as did I, Ron. As soon as Ladd was shipped off, I said it was a bad deal, and we'd miss him the most. I do have him on my fantasy team, though!

Watch the replay. Any Hawk there would have put that puck in. NHL on the fly just gave the credit to Kane too. Watch Halak, Kane is so dangerous he doesn't even consider the back door.

No biggie but Kaner set that whole thing up. Other than Cullimore, and I'm not sure I actually saw Cullimore do that. Yikes!
Maybe I'm a pessimist but after watching Jim Pappin miss an open net and clank the post in game 7 of the '71 Cup Finals against Montreal, I don't believe in sure things. And I would venture to say Pappin is a better shooter than some of the guys on the 3rd and 4th lines. That aside, I had to watch the replay a few times to make sure my eyes weren't fuckin with me and that Cullimore actually did what he did.

Well, that first goal he let in was pretty soft. Other than that he played stellar.
