Our defense looked like shit, again. ESPECIALLY Seabrook and Keith. Seabrook was a fucking pylon out there tonight. Not only was he a pylon, he was a turnover machine. Blind pass after blind pass. I thought he and Cullimore switched jerseys... Keith has to get his head out of his ass and stop turning the puck over too. Those two were garbage aside from one or two shifts. Hossa is literally carrying this team on his back. He's just amazing.

LEAVE THE LINES ALONE Q. There is no reason at all to break up Kopecky/Toews/Hossa. None. Sharp and Kane have been working it together too. STOP FUCKING WITH SHIT.

John Scott should never play in a Hawks jersey again. I've seen enough.
Ya it's Scott's fault everyone is scared to answer to him... at least he put Bitchchester in his place early and you didn't see any hack shit from him the rest of the game after Scott had words with him prior to the faceoff.

Kind of a weird trend over the past few games after Scott has a chat with anyone that they become invisible for the rest of the game. Glad Winchester didn't hurt anyone like most of the Blues try to do every game.

I was checking the game stats and its looks like he is not credited with an assist on Hossa's 1st goal tonight. He should be.

The point is, if noone will fight him, HE IS USELESS. And why should anyone fight him? The other team is better off LEAVING HIM ON THE ICE. Taking him to the penalty box for five minutes is only a benefit for the Hawks. He played less than three fucking minutes tonight Stu. Seriously. He serves absolutely no purpose on this team. None. You're telling me that he is intimidating people by playing ONE shift a period? The chances of him being on the ice when someone is run are astronomically low. Not only that, but he took a stupid fucking penalty as well. I'm sure St. Louis was really scared of taking liberties because Scott might play 30 seconds a period.

STU........I know you love tough guys but please.

Scott spent all of 2:29 on the ice. He spent nearly that much in the penalty box after the stupid penalty he took. And his presence didn't stop Polok, Brewer or Jackman from playiing like goons at times.

Turco made some unbelievable saves throughout the game. I'm not sure if the 1st goal against him can all be pinned on him either. I have no idea what Seabs was doing on that goal. Marty will take the blame for that one himself though you could see it in his body language. Other than that one he was solid.

I agree with Pez Seabs is not himself yet. Didn't like his game tonight either. But I do disagree about Keith Pez. Although not a fantastic game tonight I thought he played fairly well (saved us a few times and I thought he made some great offensive plays also). Keith is getting his legs back. Seabs.....is lagging. Overall defense was not great again though. Hammer was solid with his positioning but everyone else was a bit off here and there.

Hate nit picking after a win though. Hossa is the shit...end of story. This guys taking top 5 in league scoring this season if this is an indication of things to come. Again though Hawks need to start getting secondary scoring from the 3rd and 4th lines. Once they do then this team is going to be racking up a whole lot of W's in a row.

I can't wait until Campbell is back by the way.

Guess you guys want Winchester running around trying to hurt guys.... oh wait that stopped once he pussied out from Scott. Kinda weird, right? I guess Winchester just decided to stop being a useless hack on his own? LOL

ANY deterrent created by Scott that COULD POSSIBLY prevent a Star injury are A-Ok with me.

I saw RK post that he started skating late last week... I wonder what the time frame is of him actually returning.

Can we stop talking about Scott in the gdt where he has had zero effect on the outcome of the game. Stu stop stretching or at least go make a seperate John Scott thread so we can actually talk about impact players and impact plays. The gdt always get derailed running circles around the same bs Scott crap.

If he has zero effect on the outcome try complaining about the people bitching about him for no reason but his 2:29 he played and kept Winchester in check, possibly saving a star player from injury.

You're ridiculous dude. Winchester is a fucking fourth liner. Fourth liners don't play against "star players". They play against other fourth liners. Thank God Scott was there to prevent Winchester and his 7 minutes of ice time from maiming our entire top six....

Can you let me know how many "star players" have missed significant time over the last 5 years because of a fourth liner running them?

good point. But you are goating everyone jerk face!! You know you love doing it too!! Swarmy Fin you!!!

I'm not going to lie I would like to see Scott drop them. But it appears thats never going to happen untill this team runs into the 92/93 Hawks where Grimson will try his luck.

Anyways...now that you have goated me..back to talking about impact players

Too bad Ott doesn't count but he technically should (if he played on a normal team no way he gets near 20 goals, the stars are putrid).

Also, he might not be a forward... but he could end up out there against a hack like the "flying elbow" Kronwall.

And that's just off the top of my head hacks that have hurt our players for significant time.

Well our secondary scoring prayers looked like they might start getting answered when the Stalberg-Dowell-Skille line's chemistry finally scored last Friday. But then Q decided to start scratching Skille and Stalberg for that pylon so we reaped what we sowed on that front. Hopefully lines go back to normal on Wed. and the 4th can exhibit their mojo again.

There are teams that know how to win (Hawks) and teams that don't (Blues) and that was the difference in this game.

With that being said, our defense has to get better. I agree with Pez on this one. Seabs and Keith were one sloppy mess. I actually thought Keith was worse, but neither was good. Neither are playing with any patience. It's like they can't wait to get rid of it when it hits their stick and they blindly throw it up the middle or into traffic or whatever.

Hossa and Sharp are carrying this team right now. Stalberg needs to be in the lineup. After the goal he scored the other night against Buffalo, I don't know how you can sit him.

Great win, but I wish the Hawks that showed up in the last 10 minutes also were the ones who played the first 50, but it didn't seem that way to me.

RapidPlatypus, was that you next to me at the game. Honestly since the lock out that is the first time someone from the the other team has sat next to us. 'Suppose that is better than Mancow.
