Varlamov has been hot against mediocre and struggling teams. We'll see how hot he is getting peppered by 35+ shots. Avs D is suspect IMO. Expect another fast moving puck possession game tonight but Varlamov won't save them. Hawks win by 2 goals with an empty netter in the waining seconds.

Keith had a few gaffs last night but still had a monster game. Before the gaff leading to the goal he was shooting the puck at everything!



That said I agree he'd be better off with #7.



Why Q refuses is frustrating.

I have not seen 2 and 7 playing in sync since the cup. I see both of them waiting to pass the puck after their partner is about to be pressured. If I did not know better I would say it looks at times like they don't want to be paired together.

Amen...that was painful to watch and showed me that our team is not to be trusted to do the right thing yet. Very much a work in progress.

You haven't seen them much because they haven't been together much. But when it counts, in those dire straights of the game, take a close look at who you see. It will be #2 and #7.

Fuckin A Varlamov robbed us at least 7-8 times tonight. Crawford was good as well. Would have been a shutout save for 1 bad bounce. What an exciting game, both teams were flying up and down the ice.

Varlamov was unbelievable.



Hey Craw made some good saves too. That guy is great at seeing through traffic. Varlamov may have won the fancy saves (they were unreal) but Craw had a great game too.



And a very smart disciplined game by the Hawks. Besides the penalty in the last 2 mins of the game the Hawks played a hell of a clean game. Smart seeing the Avs PP is out of control.



Some great puck lifting that game too.

Varlamov was #1 star if I'm allowed to say that . Could have been 8-1 easy. Fun game to watch. Can't wait for the next one. At least I got toews and sharp right for goals. Would love to see that line stay not with the other two. All played great tonight, even liked the fourth line.
