Uptown baby!
Arrrrrrgh. . . .fucking Varlamov! That was fucking GRAND LARCENY he got away with on that amazing save on Kruger's 3rd Per mini rocket of a shot. That was goalie cockblocking at it's finest there. Poor Kruger, WHAT an amazing first NHL goal that would have been for the kid.

I have been watching highlights and the "Hawks looked real good. The skating was fluid and the goal opportunities were multiple. Varlamov was a thief in the night.

Varlamov has been hot against mediocre and struggling teams. We'll see how hot he is getting peppered by 35+ shots. Avs D is suspect IMO. Expect another fast moving puck possession game tonight but Varlamov won't save them. Hawks win by 2 goals with an empty netter in the waining seconds.

Good call.

And it continues on Saturday!

I love home & homes!

Only time when I don't is when its either against Nashville or Dallas. Can't stay up watching either team.

So where to start...

Toews is almost a point per game...and it's October?!? WTF IS GOING ON?!?

great game overall, this team lives and dies by Crawford, he is amazing.

Carcillo is playing insanely disciplined so far, just proves that he is coachable.

Olesz and Lepisto must be dying for some ice time, but you don't make changes on a win streak.

Hawks haven't lost a regulation game since the season opener. I like this.

Sharp looking like he's finally getting in game shape, Kane line looked good, so did the Rat Pack

I'm loving our fourth line more and more every game, just wish Stalberg would throw the damn body! Mayers is a beast!

Leddy is showing more and more promise every game, looks like he was quite the steal.

Love this team, LETS GO HAWKS!!

Nothing like a 4 point 2 game road trip to help bond a team with several new players.

Great effort last night.

I think Varlamov is going to crumble at this pace. He is using up all his rob the other team moves early in the season. I think the save on Seabrook was maybe his best save all night, or was it the one on Kruger, or Frolik or Toews..... Amazing performance, but will the kid be able to keep it up.

Is it Saturday yet?

I still think his save on Kruger was going to miss the net anyway lol.

Can't wait for the next game, should we expect a scrap or two? Usually on back to backs doesn't the second game have a stiff memory? Maybe the hawks should break a few legs to slow the avs down a bit.

Mostly it was great to see the top line click. If we thought the other two were great before, just wait till the other teams can't forget about the top line. Who do you focus on... Toews Sharp and Brunette, the top line... Kane, Hossa, and Carbomb the most skilled and fastpaced line, or the Rat Pack third line which happens to have the teams leading scorer.

It's sick that the team is so deep that we have Hossa and Kane on the "second line".

That would be a top line on many clubs in the league.

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
I only caught the tail end of the third, but I liked what I saw on all of the replays I've seen.

Oh, and Varlamint's save on Kruger? Unreal. Bring on Saturday.

Dave Bolland could be a 1st line centers on some teams.

Too bad I missed this game, couldn't find a stream and was nursing a hangover, so sleep won. But it sounds like they had a good game. I have a really good feeling about this team.

Anyone noticed that Toews seems far more loose in his interviews than he has before? He cracks jokes and isn't as super serious just giving the cookie cutter answers. Can only bode well for the general atmosphere in the locker room. He knows when he is a part of a good team and they will make some proper noise this season.

I don't know he was as pissed off after the last home game than I've ever seen him.

Well, they lost, so of course he's pissed off. Obviously he'll be more merrier after a win. Is just an observation, he just seems more loose in front of the cameras.

Great team performance through all lines. Scoreline could have been huge if it wasn't for Varlamov, he was amazing but a great little road trip. Roll on tonight.
