Is anyone concerned that 10 of our 17 (13 of 24 total) even strength goals are from Sharp and Hossa? Normally I would be but considering that they are two different lines, at different positions, I think it could be good maybe? 2 solid scoring lines, and scoring in a variety of ways. Thoughts? Maybe it's just too early to be focused on this... only 8 games in.
Not concerned at all, actually I think it's a blessing. The "secondary scoring" will come, and when it does our offense will be more explosive then it is now. The thing that I like is we are finding ways to win low scoring 1 goal games, just leads to more success down the road.

I'm not. Our goal last night was the 4th line. They get their chips. Like you said the dangerous 1-2 punch with the top two lines is just that, a dangerous 1-2 punch.

If I were Q I'd start trying to get that 3rd line productice. If that means saying by to Pisani and bring up Poltuny then so be it.

But Pisani is very good on the PK and our PK has been very good that past few games. I still say last nights Canuck PP goal should have been whistled before the Canuck was allowed to poke it free near the side of the post.

Yeah I'm kinda feeling the same way as the others here, just thought I'd throw it out there to see what people were thinking.

As for the third line, it's clear our 4th line is dangerous compared to others, but I'd rather see that out of the third line, whatever Q has to do to get that 3rd line going I'm all for. To me, it's nice to have a solid 4th line, but I think we have enough players that we could switch things around and get better production on the 3rd without hurting the 4th too much. The Key here is that I'm FUCKING ECSTATIC to not be talking about the 2nd and 1st lines. I didn't think I could be more happy to not have too much line juggling. (sure their is some in game sometimes but they always come back to the same)

Something about hair, and the long line of warnings. For whatever the reason, I love that when someone get's banned/warned, it turns their poster ranking to Game Misconduct.

finally someone with some actuall prospective on how it might or might not work. I was also going to bring football in the picture and mention on how the team who snaps the ball then the clock runs out is still in motion untill it is stopped. Yes I can see how it might or might not work in the NHL. What I mentioned is not so far feted, and might be a reality in the future.
Considering the ambiguities on determining if time should be/has been extended, how the players would be aware, and such, I am not going to hold my breath on this being a reality. Too many questions marks, too easy to abuse depending on what is defined as a break-away (again if the players catch up is it still a break-away? and would the play just stop then?), and finally it would be a very radical change for the history of the sport because once time expires it has expired.

Extending a football game is far different than any other timed sport where play is constant while the clock is running, as I was pointed out above. The point to timed sports is a finite time inwhich play is to occur. Hockey is a clock is always running when play is going on sport. Clock ends, play ends.

There has to be some kind of dirty joke involved with the words "Hot Hand, BJ's".

I thought forums were for complaining about other posters!! :D

Honestly, I don't see how someone could fail to find SOMETHING positive to say about this team. I sometimes still shake my head in disbelief that our boys won the Cup. Amazing.

I want this game against the Blues to be easier than the first.

If the game talk from last night has been exhausted, it may be time to lock this one down.
