Scott is getting old quick. He's here to be an enforcer, has played every game and has 6 PIM.

Ya no shit... he's just got to grab Winchester and beat the shit out of him. Look at those videos, it's all one of the Hawks grabbing someone and MAKING them go. Look how linesmen and two teammates had to hold Grimson back from tearing someone's head off... would nice to see Scott have one of those episodes against the Canucks or Blues.

He didn't have a bad game in the 10 minutes he played last night, even on D... but unless he's out there running people through the glass (bad idea when you're playing D AND you're slow - might be more effective at F and play more than 5 minutes) he's obviously useless.

I was ok with him being here in limited action to do a certain thing. And he's played every game and done nothing.

There were two brawls from that game, both are in the 1st video in main post.

"This game is known in Chicago and St. Louis as the "St. Patrick's Day Massacre."

This was a classic Norris Division battle amongst two teams fighting for the President's Trophy. It was expected to be an intense game, but it quickly turned into a very chippy affair early. 278 penalty minutes, including 24 minor, 12 major and 17 misconduct penalties."

Yeah, but I prefer Pat and Dale to whatever the St. Louis toolbags are saying about Dave Manson.

Love that video. Besides the brawl, i like the part where Keenan and Sutter are chit-chatting across the benches. And the organ playing the whole time was classic Chicago Stadium.

p.s.: in the tickets thread, i just put up some tix for the Jackets and Kings games coming up. If interested, check it out and send me a pm.

Is it just me or do we play these guys every other fucking night. It's not even November and I'm sick of seeing the hacks.

His presence is enough to make the Blues think twice.

Look at last season for the Wild. 90 PIMs. Not many fighting majors. This guy is not Zenon Konopka. I'd rather see the Blues not run players--perhaps Scott on the bench is just that. Honestly, I could give a shit about the fighting. Hossa is a treat to watch.

I hope he has a hat trick tonight.

I want to see the Hawks break out and win big.

I agree, lets stick to the game plan and go with it. I wouldn't want to stoop to the Blues no clues level. I think score early and let them get frustrated enough to start shit and let them get the penalties.

Hossa needs to get out of this slump...jezzz how long has it been???...

The Blues need to focus on their legs, and how to keep up with the Hawks speed deep into a game. If the Hawks can get a tally and effective shifts from the energy line, the Blues will have difficulty-- especially if the backchecking stays solid-- like in the Canuck game.

good point, but I feel like this years blues have the blue print of Nashvilles game plan against us. Meaning they will be a thorn in our side this whole season. Shall I say boring game coming up again.

Low scoring affairs can be quite exciting.

The Canucks/Hawks game was an amazing watch (until the shootout).

If you're referring to the 1st matchup versus the Blues, it was a very sloppy start IMO. I was fortunate enough to be in class for the Nashville game, so my wife got to see that game from our seats.

Ton and I will be looking into going to J Patricks before the game this Saturday. Anyone going to game stop by its a really nice place, not like your modern bars these day.

RK, is that you in the back in the picture of Sharp?, next to Hossa and Turco I noticed it when I saw Ton's article in the home page.

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Hoping to extend our wining streak to 5, but having a lukewarm feeling about this one. Not bad, not good, just lukewarm. I think it can go either way depending on how much we let them get us off our game.

The D/Goaltending doesn't worry me so much, but I think to win this one someone other than Hossa, Sharp, or the 4th line is going to have to step it up.
