It will be interesting to see how Toews bounces back from what was probably the worst game of his career.

Well deserved loss. When you can't pass, and you don't hit, you don't deserve to win.

Nothing really positive to say about this game....

Pez mentioned this was the worst game he's seen Toews as a Hawk, pretty much agree. I also think it was one of Keith's.

Marty Huet... what was up with not having the paddle down on that softy 3rd goal?

Also... the defense was all around BRUTAL... Boynton/Keith blowing wheels giving up breakaways, Seabrook's DOG late in the 3rd. WE NEED CAMPBELL BACK ASAP!

That sequence of Bolland - Pisani - Scott not clearing the puck in the 3rd was atrocious as well.

Sharp/Hossa/Kane only the real stars.

Also, **** you Winchester you turtling pussy!

Sooo who wants my account info to moderate the o's LOL.

Tough game for the 'Hawks. Looked gassed, and still have a game tomorrow....think they will rebound. 3rd Blues goal was just the killer in the game. Not going to call it soft, he just did not see and anticipated something else.

Blues are the real deal so far. Far more mature team this season, will be dangerous. Blues backchecking was the difference, IMO. Really prevented the 'Hawks from getting anything going.

Winchester, way to turtle from the start. Why drop them.

Very disappointing game.

Hawks had to have shitload of turnovers.

Freakin Hawks have made Perron look like a hockey god.

At least Stu got to see his boy fight..

Yeah, I was waiting for the K.O. but wasn't going to happen.

But I wish your boy would have went after Pollak instead. That little prick has been a punk both games.

Like going after Kopecky when the puck was clearly loose?

Look... Scott has been going after ANYONE on those hack teams and no one wants to fight him. RK can tell you that it took him 5 tries to finally get Winchester to go with him... if he's not going to be pounding the hacks on the other team, bench his ass.

Nothing good is going to come of Scott "making someone go"... no one wants a part of him so if he goes in and just grabs someone and ends their night (or season in Bolduc's case) all that's going to happen is the Hawks being shorthanded for AT LEAST 2 minutes.

I can tolerate him against the Blues/Canucks/Islanders/Oilers etc... but against the BJs tomorrow? Leddy please on D.

Not a fucking chance.

Hard place to play. Not a good game from anyone. Although Kane was all over the place he needs to finish.

If that was Toews worst game of the year it was Keiths worst game of his career.

Tomorrows game should be interesting. Both teams lost tonight.

Keith = Ouch..horrible...one good defensive play all night and from there on out just flat out bad.

Toews = Ouch...horrible..time to start finishing big guy. We all love you but it's time.

Scott= for your first fight..snoooooze. Waste of my time if that is what NHL fights are like now.

Cullimore if you are going to go down on one knee to block a shot BLOCK THE FUCKING SHOT!! You slug.

Brouwer I thought had a decent game though.

:D

Tough one to swallow. But can't win em all.

Ok I never want to see Cullimore and Scott as a pair ever again. They were a disaster every time they touched the ice. No wonder Keith and Seabrook look exhausted. They have play 35 minutes a game with those two clowns as 5 and 6 D. Yeah it was worth it for Scott to fight Winchester.

NHL Cowards literally go to MMA trainers during the summer to learn takedowns, that's what NHL fights are becoming.

Winchester knew he was going to get BLASTED by Scott so he turtled like a coward schoolgirl. Scott beat on that turtle pretty well for a turtle... that uppercut was nice.

random thoughts

1) Crap game. Not a great effort.

2) There's still a Long list of guys who are still recovering from the infamous Stanley Cup Hangover we heard about all summer. Hammer's hangover appears to be from drinking Absolut straight all summer, even while sleeping.

3) Boynton and Cullimore are 6/7 defensemen playing at least double the minutes they should be playing, and it shows.

4) Cullimore, thanks for another great flashback of how brutal you are. I primarily blame you for the 3d goal. However, one more fluke/soft goal allowed by Marty in the 3d period in a tie game, and i'm going to have to start saying something.

5) i think Blues have won 10 straight on home ice going back to last year. Tough building.

6) Hossa appears semi mortal again.

7) Duncan, your now making $8 mill a year. I preferred your game when you were making 1.2 mill. Shouldn't be that way.

8) Scott. Good to seem him skating a little better. Had some horrible games last week, but last few matches looks kind of ok for a 6/7 dman. Tho he's obviously getting too many minutes too.

Am I wrong? Wasn't it Cullisuck's skate that redirected that 3rd goal into our net? Yes, Marty should have had that but I could have sworn it was off Cullisuck for another goal against our team.

For the most part, good recap...

1) Yup

2) Not so sure, Hammer didn't have a terrible game.

3) Add Scott to that list, but he wouldn't be playing those minutes if Campbell was healthy.

4) Turco should have had his paddle down, anyways.

5) Always tough there.

6) DISAGREE. Hossa was pretty damn strong out there tonight.

7) This was discussed a lot in chat.... one of his worst games as a hawk IMO.

8) 100% agree again, but don't let anyone on IHN know. I think Scott played well for the last two games... one mistake tonight not clearing the puck after Bolland and Pisani committed the same error, other then that he's been "not bad". That being said, he has no business playing defense on any team in the NHL... Campbell needs to come back ASAP!!!!

Was it my imagination or was Hendry on the roster tonight? Did he get benched because of BOYNTON'S **** up? That is some bullllllllshiiiiiit.

Our defense as a unit sucks balls right now. Please get rid of Cullisuck, Scott, and bring back Leddy. Also, Soupdog, stop being a *****, put some uber knee braces on and get back out there ASAP!

What a shitty night for Hawksverse hockey---Hawks themselves tried to pass off clusterfuckery as ice hockey AND to top it off apparently Jeremy Morin was injured in tonight's Ice Hogs game. Shit. :x

No from the replay is was clear that it got redirected off of polak's skate. It did hit Cully then Polak. So fucked up goal but your going to have those once in a while, just sucks because it seems like it only happens to us, we never get those bullshit goals for us.. funny.

As far as Keith's, its not his contract, I don't know what it is , but I believe its the overall players in his shift, If you were used to certain players for a few years then had to adjust in a matter of a few months, that's not that easy. It has nothing to do with the signing. Look at Toews, Bolland, browy, Kane at some shift. They are all not there yet. Guys they just won the cup in June, and they are back on the Ice 3 months later after partying their asses off. I bet some still reek of Vodka. They are way past what I expected them to be at.

The whole team did not play all that well today, you can't win them all. We have played so many games in a matter of 7 days without a day or two off to practice, so all the sloppiness will show if Q can't put in practice time. No practicing, missing players, consecutive games in a matter of a week and a half and were 5-3-1. **** ya I'll take it!!! these guys are not superhuman, at least not yet.
