Hmm that's interesting, and a little odd to me.
well, 5-3-1 against mostly playoff teams last year is not bad.

I certainly believe so many games to start the season could have them a little whacked too. 4 games in 6 days, two weeks in a row. While other teams have played half the games. Like was mention it will probably even out but without the Olympics I don't get the amount of games we are playing early. Again 3 games in 4 days again this up coming weekend.

I see what your sayin though. Considering all the factors playin in here the Hawks are better off than I'd have thought so far.

Turco again, wow Well I was hoping that, not that I don't like Crawford, I just like to get my moneys worth when I'm going to the game. I also think Turco will get an assist to go along with the post I had before.

this is a little of the subject but how about Q stash night give away one game this year...ha what do you all think, another recommendation to pass along. Hope this is better since I got boooed by RK on my last. LOLOLOL

ooh and to add to that another game with RK's face on a stick when the Nucks come to town...can you all picture Lou's face looking at 21k fans all in RK face. priceless. Lou' would fuckin bust out of the stadium like the cartoons leaving his shape on the side.
Gee Rosh maybe you should go to bed before the game starts tonight.

It's Turco tonight TCD.
That surprises me a little. He has been playing well though. Not sure if I would have started Turco myself but this is why im not a NHL coach. That and because I can't skate very well, don't know the game all to well, and can't grow a mustache.

I agree that it is surprising that Turco is starting again...but I am with you in that the soul patch is not enough for either of us to coach in the NHL.

Perhaps Turco wanted the start to make up for last night. Not that I do not think he needs to, but who knows. Does seem odd that Crawford is not starting.

Anyway, 'Hawks win 5-4.

Brophey called up... who's scratched? Skille? MAYBE THERE IS truth to the rumors?

I am a big Brophey fan, he has been one of my favorite Hogs... glad he's getting his shot!

In all honesty, why go there and post about it here?
I was going to bring this up before last nights game but I guess now is as good a time as any.

The Hawks have played 9 games, tonight being #10. They've had 8 games in 12 days. No wonder they looked gassed last night. Mean while the rest of the NHL is at least 2-3 games behind them for the most part.

Why the **** is the schedule so heavy to start the season for really only one team? We've had 4 games in 6 days now twice, two weeks in a row. While last nights game was the FIRST for the Blues since the Hawks beat them in OT last Monday. WTF?
Interestingly enough the 'Hawks record after 9 games last season was 5-3-1 (11pts.), and the same as this season.

Who cares about who's starting in goal... I want to see who is sitting for my boy Brophey's NHL debut!

Crap, I forgot Dowell was up... probably him then. Unless Hendry is back in the lineup I think the oaf will still be on D.

If it's Skille, he could be traded.... there's rumors floating around out there.

I like that Brophey gets a call up. Nothing wrong with some young fresh legs in a back to back game. Yah i'm wondering who the scratch is also. Hope its Pisani...or do they play opposite positions. Im a wreck today.

Brophey is a center... could we see Sharp take Kopecky's spot on the top line?

Yeah, I was just wondering if they consider sickness to be an upper body injury. Otherwise, how else could they call it a "short term" injury like the Hawks Twitter does?

Did Skille play the rest of the game after that hit from Coliacavo last night? Maybe Brophy is in for him instead?
