Had they lost that would have been on Q's head yet again. His lines were fucked up again. He;s currently killing Patrick Kane.

thus my hockey pool. Smarten the **** up Q!!!

Agree and disagree on Lepsito to be honest. He played well enough to get more games but I wouldn't say he was great. He had his fair share of **** ups also. Good enough game though for a guy who had been sitting for a long time.

Kruger is improving game by game. I will eat crow on Kruger I have been more than happy with him so far this season. He was one of our best consistent forwards all night. Not sure if he had one bad shift.

Bickell is doing the right thing going to the net (one of the few on this team that is doing so) but wasn't that great when he got there tonight. He also better grow his beard back.

Stalberg lifted the team. Good for him, now he needs to keep it up. From Goat to Hero.

Hopefully he'll get a litlle confidence and start to play better. Nice pass by Brunette, too.

... Oh and John Scott should never see the ice again. ....

I've been saying this since last season.

This game was a travesty - consider who we beat; a team that has ONE victory this season. If we'd played them in their house, we likely would have lost. Toews, Staleberg and Brunette should NEVER play together again, and, yes you could tell Toews was pissed.

You aren't saying Toews was pissed at playing with Stalberg? Because if you were I can tell you 100% for sure he'd probabl ask to have Stalberg put on his line.

They are buddies, off the ice.

I reworded that because with Ebony around I want to make sure my reading comprehension is up to snuff.

FAR from a beating. Did you watch this game?

3rd period was pretty much an ass kicking. From a team that had played the night before.

That said I do think the first two periods were fairly close. I don't give a rats ass who they played though as this is the NHL. ANY team can lose on ANY night.

Toews and Skille were buddies off the ice too lol.

Stalberg put in a few goals, good for him. Still not impressed.

Not like Stalberg. Trust me. And one game doesn't sway me much either.

It's a nice start, though.

Stalberg looked posessed in the 3rd.

I'd like to see him play 1/2 that good on a more regular basis.

Yes I did watch. I was never worried. 5-2 is an ass-kicking. Out of the 37 shots we had a majority were excellent chances - at times it looked like a cat playing with a mouse, this game easily could have been 7 or 8-2.

Stalberg looks like, once finally given a chance like i just said in the Carcillo thread (woot woot brag brag haha), he hasnt missed a step from the nice preseason he had before the knee injury. So glad it wasn't more than just a sprain or whatever so there wasnt too long of a recovery.

The third period saved the Hawks, but this was not a well played game for the second night in a row. It feels like the team has stumbled to a 6-2-2 record, if that's possible. Dreadful looking powerplay, pretty shaky defensively, inconsistent offensively. But they're getting the results for now. Crawford and Bolland are probably the MVPs so far.

By the way, the combined goal total for Keith, Seabrook, Hjalmarsson, Montador, O'Donnell and Lepisto?

Yup, zero.

The no goals for thos blueluners that should be scoring a few goals is a direct result of poor coaching and a terrible pp. ..And no traffic at the net. Bickells the only guy going to the net.

Leddy has been our best 2 way blueliner. Stalberg can thank him for his first goal last night. The play leddy made at the boards was a vet move. Plays like that are high quality defenseman plays. Kids amazing.

I am also seeing less physical play as of late. Thought this team built for some added toughness. Not seeong it the last 4 games.

Rk as for toews liking stalberg on his line. Thats fine..then get brunette off it. One of those 2 have to go. The lines in my opinion are wrong. I dont need stk line to be happy but i would like to see at leat one consistent higher caliber wing with toews. Ill give it more time to gell but im doubting it at the moment.

I like our record. Not sure if I like how we have gotten there though. Early yet but come mid November I want to start seeing some full 60 minute wins.

it's one game...and especially that second goal, he did what he was supposed to do. I'm not going to give too much credit for a goal that anyone could have scored. Brunette did all the work on that, and more often than not Stalberg would have fucked that up.
