My only thought was that Olesz may be sitting due to his injury that was actually supposed to originally keep him out the very beginning of the year, but I guess he recovered quicker than expected. Seems someone beat me too it, but I had nothing to go on but a hunch as well.

Mass has it. Someone said something to me the other night and at the moment I didn't catch what they were telling me. Now, thinking about it, it's his knee that's the reason for him not playing.

I'm almost positive now.

I'm almost positive that I read over the summer from Stan that he was expected to be out the beginning of the season so I was surprised to see him even playing. Sucks if he's feeling effects from the injury, what is it from again? What did he do to his knee to begin with?

he injured it last year and had surgery on it. I'm surprised not one thing or question has come from the Beat guys/gals on it. But it most definitely answers why Scott has been in.

I'm not, maybe Sassone, but other than that, they are all told what to write so if it's an afterthought with the organization, it's probably an afterthought with the media, haha.

I am a little. Sassone, Kuc, Jahns are all good sports reporters IMO. Unfortunately some appear afraid to ask the tough questions sometimes. Then again they look at what happened to Mora and yea, well, I kind of agree.

Yeah, can't really get around that giant elephant in the room... or the pouting Grinch who will yank your credentials if he doesn't like what you have to say.

But wasn't Mora a CSN reporter... the network which airs what, 75% of their games?

Would someone affiliated with the Tribune or Sun Times really get canned and shafted like Mora for asking those questions/writing that stuff?

Then again I am not sure exactly what happened to him.

Canned no, probably not. Removed from the Beat, most certainly. Who exactly do you think controls press passes?

Also Rocky owns part of one of the Trib or Suntimes as well. I think the SunTimes. Also the Hawks own 20% of CSN Chicago. Bulls, Bears, Cubs and Sox own the other 20% portions. Yup.
