That was one of the most entertaining games I've ever been to. I'll leave it to the experts to determine if it was good.

Hooray 2 pts! Quite sloppy first two periods from both sides. Tightened it up for the third. Hawks looked much better and had good chances. Toews and especially Kane looked really good, hopefully they will continue and it will rub off for the other guys. Didn't get enough of a look on Morin to say anything one way or another, getting hit by the puck didn't really help either. Skille kept crashing the net, but is that his only move? Nice to see Stålberg get a nod in the shootout and roof the game winner. Nice deke by Toews on his shot as well, didn't go for the ol' fivehole.

Skille drives the net hard..2 very good plays - definately takes guts....but thats "all he has"...nice

Waahhhhhh. I miss Byfuglien, Ladd, Eager and Sopel.....lets all hold hands and cry about ex-Hawks!!! Hopefully this is the last of those douchebags and we can all move on.

I give Morin props for blocking that shot, but for **** sake, do it properly and NEVER roll. You're supposed to use your side, preferably where your shin guard is.

Did he block it with his rectum?

Kane's performance tonight makes me wonder where the **** has that effort been all year? God damn was he amazing tonight.

Toews and Kane tonight played a game like they should've been playing all year.

Kaner played like a man possessed. Even came up with a big hit.

Toews played his best game of the season.

Time to sit Scott. He's freakin useless.

Hopefully Morin is okay. The kid has guts.

What can you say about Kane and Toews? They dominated, great performance and the hit by Kane was just icing on the cake.

Stalberg has been playing extremely well... probably better than Steeg is in Toronto. Keep the guy on the #1 line and ride him while hes hot. (6 pts in 6 games). He seems to really be meshing with this team very nicely. Good fit and hes certainly earning his stripes (or feathers) around here.

Skille looked good, but still lacking any finish what-so-ever. Stalberg is what Skille should be and can be IMO.

IMO Hendry looked worse than Cullimore, but hey its just one game.

Morin looked good. Laid a big hit at center ice, some good shots on goal, and blocked that shot... hope hes OK, he definitely proved that he can give something to this team.

Nice to see Buff, Ladd, Eager, and Sopel again... even nicer to see Kaner deke Buff out of his jock.

Hope we keep the spring in our step, it was definitely there tonight. I thought before the game that this would be a huge test of our character and if we win, would help build our identity... and from the looks of it, it certainly gave the team a shot in the arm, hopefully we can look back and look at this one as a turning point for our season.

Now I'm home, a couple things:

1) It was about 50-50 or 60-40 Hawks to Thrashers fans, BUT

2) All the Hawks fans were chanting "Let's Go Blackhawks," which pissed me off.

3) They were going after Stalberg all night, I'm glad he got the game-winner

4) I liked how a few of our goals were ugly, gritty goals. It's nice to see us scratching and clawing up close.

5) Their Kane has a WICKED shot.

6) Loved the JT breakaway, despite the fact that I was on the other end of the ice.

I noticed that too, picking on the new guy I guess.

As the final "Scott Holdout" I 100% agree!

Believe in enforcers or not.... he was brought here to do ONE THING and he can't even do that, get him the **** off this team.

Exactly. Obviously the message Q sent this morning by cutting the morning skate short, got through. Toews and Kane played balls to the wall, and looked like the Toews and Kane we have grown accustomed to.

I have been really impressed with Stalberg the last several games. If this kid continues to develop, I won't miss Versteeg. AT ALL. He looked right at home up there with Toews and Kane. Playing physical, feeding them the puck, going hard to the net. Perfect fit for that line.

Skille continues to impress as well. Some real strong moves to the net tonight. Would be nice if he had someone out there on the ice with him to crash the fucking net, like Stalberg did the other night. The assists would pile up for him. Unfortunately, he takes the puck hard to the net, and his linemates are still at the blueline watching him skate. Umm, hello guys, get in the fucking play. I feel bad for him. Would be nice to see what he could do with some real linemates for a few games.

John Scott, you are useless. Please, go away. Twist your ankle or something. You bring nothing to this team. Nothing.

I was happy not to see Cullimore playing tonight. That is all.

hell of an entertaining game
<
.

Toews and Kane wanted that sucker bad!!! Turco made some great saves although i am sure he wanted a couple back and he had plenty of help from his posts (ugh scary). Thought there were way too many penalties called in the game by the officials but none the less an entertaining game.

Thrashers are NOT a bad team. May not have superstars but they have fight. And they can thank our exes for that. Ladd/Buff/Eager/Sopel were very noticeable out there as I thought they would be. Sort of fun to watch them now. I didn't give 2 shits about Kovalchuk and still don't the Thrashers are better without him and with our exes lol.

Toews goal in the shoot out was sick so was Kanes until he missed the net lol. He over humphed that puck as he had the goalie beat. Turco pretty decent in the shoot out..love that poke check!! Stahlberg is sooooooooo fast. I don't think that guy can be stopped on a breakaway with that speed and those hands. I would be scared if I were any goalie. Too bad he doesn't get enough of those during regulation.

I still need more from the supporting cast (im having trouble warming up to the new faces to be honest but thats me missing the old guys still). But good win tonight. Don't mind giving the point away to Atlanta.

No need to mention Scott anymore. Not worth talking about. Have no idea why he gets any ice. It's at the point where I think Q is Special person.

Kane gives a **** and the Hawks win. It's really that simple. How to keep him giving a **** now that's the mystery!

Yeah, things are not looking up for Skille I'm afraid. And I mean that only in the sense that whether one feels he's truly only a NHL Bottom 6er or not the double-edge sword is that the kid has Top 6 wheels. But the Hawks right now have a full Top 6 and what's left for the bottom speed-wise isn't in the same class as Skille's speed which technically wastes his one advantage as you described. Seeing as they have no trade options to improve that Bottom 6 speed they'd pretty much have to make the extraordinary decision to play more newbs from Rockford who at least could probably keep up with Jack (I've really liked ATL since last season and I give them credit for consistently having the balls to try playing some of their 19 and 20 y.o. kids if they see the potential, i.e., Kane, Cormier, Burmistrov). Otherwise get used to seeing him straddled with the Bickells, Pisanis, Dowells, and Scotts. . .well unless he takes his game to another level and earns being moved up as someone else's game concurrently falters, heh.
