That was Brouwer's read/pick up, RK...not Seabrook. Brouwer has to look over his shoulder with Campoli in perfect postion and forcing Marleau to the boards. Brouwer made a horrible play there. It wasnt a bad line change as someone said initially on TV...Hawks had numbers back, Brouwer just never looked and was an idiot there.

Seabrook was the other D man and 10ft behind the play. Did he just hop on the ice?

No..he didnt, but he was involved in the offense, the reason why Brouwer was back. It was just the end of the PP so he was in on the rotation. It was a 1 on 2, with Campoli and Brouwer back. Brouwer just never - ever looked onces at a trailer.

If he simply took one look, he wouldve easily broken the play up. It looks as if Seabrook thought that as well, and looked for a 3rd trailer to pick up. However, Brouwer ran at Marleau who was closed off on the half boards already by Campoli. Brouwers stick was up/on the wrong side of his body as well..where if he simply had it down/in the passing lane - it doesnt get to the area.

Seabrook was 3-4 strides behind Thornton all the way, no chance of catching him.

The 2nd San Jose goal was a series of breakdowns. Seabrook moved to the slot without a forward to even recognize he was vacating the point. He really did not have a play. Brouwer took a look back before he hit center ice but it was prior to Thorton comming on the ice. Still should not be a problem. Frolik is coming back as well but he goes for a change looking directly at Thorton coming on the ice. Still should not be a problem. Campoli gives Marleau way too much space and Brouwer completes the cluster **** in the worst way possible.
