One good thing about this being on the road is that the Hawks don't have last change. Q really got owned trying to match up Kane-Toews-Stalberg against the Ducks top line. After the 1st period you knew Viktor had no chance against them on D. Just play tonight don't match up so much. As for Kane and Toews I don't know who to put up there. Bickell and Brouwer have slumped lately but I know Stalberg isn't the answer.

But wasn't that against the Grand Rapids Griffins?

Lot's of Wings were out on 1/22 in Detroit. Lots of Wings are out tonight as are Sharp & Bolland.

Your team's whoever suits up.

80% of the other teams don't give a shit about your injuries....and the other 20% are probably happy you have them.

Who gives a **** who's in/out of a lineup....you can on field a team who's healthy and beat the team across the ice from you.

Just win.

No more excuses.

From Jan 1 thru March 25 last year, the Hawks went 19-10-4.

From Jan 1 thru March 26 this year, the Hawks went 20-10-4.

What's the excuse.

They are on the exact same pace in 2011 as they were in 2010.

Sorry they aren't better, enough to over come having half the team have to learn to gel together.

8 games left, in 8th place, 2 pts ahead of Dallas (Calgary is screwed)... I really hope there are no excuses.

I don't care if they are 1st or 8th, just make it.

Last year, this year, 4 years ago. Who cares, I'm talking about the situation right now. No excuse to miss the post-season, all they have to do is pull together for 8 more games and stay ahead of Dallas.

No you want this team to be better than last years team. Because that's what you are saying. I just pulled the record. In order for them to be ahead of where they are, they'd need to be playing BETTER from Jan on, than they were last year.

they are right on pace and THEY expect to make the playoffs. The Two I talked to this morning are making no excuses, we, the fans are.

Wow I feel like PMX with that stat. What a great stat.

I never said they need to be ahead of where they are, you are making that up. All I'm saying is don't let anymore teams climb over them in the standings. Last year they went 6-1-1 in their last 8 games, I'm not expecting that, as long as they are anywhere between 1-8 by the end of the year I'm fine with it. They can go 1-1-6 for all I care as long as they make it.

They also lost a game to Columbus 8-3 two games before your 8 started.

It is what it is. They have control of how they play. Last years schedule was not near has difficult as this years. Another excuse for you to chew on.

I'm saying if they were to miss the playoffs, which I don't think they will, it would be COMPLETELY understandable as to why. Couldn't be CLEARER!

Absolutely no reason this team shouldn't win. We have probably 3-4 of the top 20 Forwards in the league, maybe even top 15 (Sharp, Kane, Toews, Hossa). Probably the best defense in the entire league. I understand it's a tough schedule, but everybody has a tough schedule. It's not like Detroit doesn't play Boston or Washington or Philly once.

The excuse that they haven't gelled as a team is bullshit as well. It's almost April, these guys have been playing for over 7 months together so they have had plenty of time to develop some chemistry as a team. I mean shit, look at Pittsburgh, lost Crosby and Malkin but still seem to stay in position for a playoff spot.

Reading 101 works for me.

It took them time to gel, IE the harder start. Comprehension 101 buddy.

Since January they have played just as good as last year. Pittsburgh was SO FAR ahead by the time they lost those too all they needed to play ws .500 to keep pace. Then again throw them out without adding any facts.

Hell they won 12 games in a row!!
