Crawford is the rookie here. I want to see how he responds. going to Turco will not help Crawford grow.

That's not what it's about tonight to me. Crawford has played many games after losing. TOnight is that Turco needs some work as we've been riding Crawford on this streak. Now that the streak is over and we are on game 2 of a back to back, to me it's the perfect night to play Turco. And yes I know he played the majority of the minutes last night but it's still different than starting to me.

Here some statistic I got from the lighting blog for tonight's game along with the injury report...

On special teams, the Blackhawks are converting 23.7% of their power plays, putting them at #2 overall in the NHL. The Bolts are 6th with a 20.4% conversion rate. On the other side of the coin, the Blackhawks penalty kill is 26th int he NHL with a 78.6 kill-rate. The Bolts PK is at 13th now, stopping 82.7% of opposing power plays.

Mike Lundin will be back on the blueline for the Bolts tonight. Of course, we noted yesterday that with the good comes the bad -- Randy Jones is out with a high ankle sprain.

I think I'd rather hear the versus feed with Beninati and some other fool as opposed to Pat and Eddie.

I would play Marty tonight but then again I would also play Craw for other reasons that I wouldn't play Marty for. Then again I would be starting Marty for the reasons Craw needs to sit this one out. Come to think of it starting Craw would be a good idea as to keep the reasons I wouldn't start Marty at bay. But then I am double guessing myself, maybe Marty needs to play?

Hate these back to back games and we have another back to back later in the week do we not? Hawks need to pounce early on these guys tonight then suck up the 3rd period when the tired legs will show.

I do think that they will come out with a better 1st period than they did last night. Anyone ever talk to these players about the humidity changes having to play in Florida after playing at home? May sound silly but I bet it does have an effect on them and it doesn't shock me that last night they were a little off in the first period. Not tonight boys!!! We are climatized!!!

P.S. because the Flames and Stars play each other tonight and both have 79 points to our 80 (We have games in hand on the Flames though)..it is important to get at least 1 point tonight. Obviously not a do or die game but it is an important one.

LETS GO HAWKS!! LETS GO PAD THAI TAKE OUT!!!

Actually I am.

For reals though Marty had a good 2 periods last night. Craw had a rough 1st. It's a tough call for the coaching staff I am sure. I do think you bounce back with Craw though for this one. Turco did what a good back up is supposed to do last night. You go back with your #1 guy in my opinion.

Tampa is a really good team, what, with their -4 goal differential and all. They've given up 200 goals this season... Hawks should roll these pretenders over and piss on their grave afterwards.
