The sad thing is, they have guys that could of filled those roles but never panned out.

Power Forward - Brouwer or Bickell

Tough stay-at-home D-man - Hjalmarsson or Boynton

Depth at center - Probably the only area that was known to be an issue heading into the year, trading for Frolik was stupid and didn't fill any holes.

Too bad the first two didn't pan out, and the last one was a stupid attempt to fill a hole with a player who did not fit. None of those guys took a step in the right direction (although I didn't expect Bickell to be a legit Power Forward off the bat, but I definitely thought he would show flashes and maybe pick it up by the end of the year)

Disappointing, but I still believe all of them are serviceable players (Boynton gone because he just wasn't), just expected to fill roles they are not capable of filling. Of course I won't even bring up Pisani, Stalberg, Dowell and the rest of the brigade, they just have nothing the Hawks need.

I say Hawks win 5-1. Would love to see them get this into a series. Obviously I have very wishful thinking, but you just never know with sports, and the Nucks still don't impress me.

Regardless either team would get beat by the Wangs IMO. I can't stand the team, fans, city etc. but right now they are playing very solid. And Datsyuk puts my jaw on the floor more than anyone in the league. The little alien plays about 3 times his size, never quits on a play, has a set of hands that own the puck, just all around a very impressive player. I have a feeling the cup is staying in the central division this year. And after saying that, DETROIT SUCKS.

I hope it won't be a sweep, but fear the worst. Hawks look like they are running on fumes and are outclassed in every way, yet they still manage to keep it close. It's either that the Hawks are that good or the Nucks simply step off the gas and toy with them. It might be a mix of both.

If it turns out to be a sweep, then hopefully the Nucks get piss in their head and walk overconfidently into the second round for their annual elimination.

Q pretty much ruled out that in his presser today. Although I don't agree with it. About time this team got fucking mad. I'd take out one of the Sedins. Since the NHL won't do their job I'd suffer the consequenses and do it for them.

Q Is a fucking pussy coach. He deballs his team. We have been flat and unemotional all year. God dammit we need Burish back, sure he wasn't a great hockey player but the guy was pure energy for the rest of the team.

I don't think what Scott did was a penalty but I DO blame Scott for running his mouth before the game saying he's going to try to fight people and take runs at people... that might have bought him that call. Other then that he played pretty damn well... was first forward back in the defensive zone pretty much on every play... even got open a few times while laying a couple nice hits. Maybe if he didn't make those comments that penalty wouldn't have been called and he could break someone tomorrow.

What Scott did was a penalty but a weak one at that, playoff time I'd let it go but yeah it was a rule infraction

I agree with your points, but trading Skille for Frolic? Skille was doing zippo. Stan probably wanted another center but could'nt get one at the deadline, so grabbed Frolic who supposedly had better offensive skill, despite not hardly scoring, showed more than Skille. I think you could flip a coin on who improved the 4th line wing position more. It was'nt Skille, and now that we've seen Frolic that's questionable.

Ton hates Frolik as much as I hate Brouwer, we will never convince him Frolik is an upgrade.

My preplayoff prediction was Canucks in 5 or Hawks in 7 so I am still in both. LOL.

I would like to see the Hawks get the win tonight to extend the series. It would suck to be swept by these assholes.

The Hawks are NOT winning this series. **** the Nucks fans... lose tonight so they don't celebrate on home ice. Don't delay the inevitable.

**** that, why have false hope? The odds of us winning 4 straight is next to impossible given all the factors. So just end it.

Are you saying they haven't left it all on the ice all series? Because i would argue that they have, they just don't have much left in the tank to leave right now.

Whatever the result tonight I just hope Torres leaves the UC on a stretcher. Hope the boys can get a win though as a clean sweep against these ******* just makes things a whole lot worse. Just keep thinking of the Flyers last season, anything can happen...

No, I'm saying the series isn't over yet, and unlike some others suggesting they throw in the towell and get it over with, I want and expect a win tonight.

It is interesting how we got into the heads of the Nucks the last two seasons and this post season they appear to have gotten into ours. In the first round we played the number one regular season team for the league and we held our own. I am not ashamed.

I will be in attendance this evening and planning on this being the last home game of the year. I hope I am wrong but just calling it like it is. I am thankful that we made it to the post season in the season after which we won the Cup.
