If anyone - it's Bickell who's been the bigger disappointment. Seeing the same old shit out of him - wrist shots from the perimeter, zero net prescence, zero fight along the boards, zero aggressiveness....he's in midseason form.

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Actually, based on the last two games, why not Stalberg? His first game was complete garbage. His games against Washington and Detroit he did quite well if not very well.

I wouldn't say he had a good preseason (at least not one as good as, say, Meyers or Saad), but whether it was Q telling him shape up or start in the A or just a rectal craniectomy, I think he should be fine in the lineup unless he completely screws the pooch again.

Yes, it's tragic Stalberg worked hard this offseason and has a good camp.

How dare he work to try to improve his game. I didn't see any youtube videos of him doing squats, so he must not be worthy of consideration he may deserve the opportunity to improve.

Stalberg = hands of stone

117 NHL games...9g in 40gms on a shitty TOR team and 12g in 77gms playing 10min a game in CHI.no, he's not Phil Esposito...but he's not Adam Burish either.

None of this actually matters because it's all inferences and what ifs, but I will say that Stahlberg has at least so far shown he's earned more preseason time to prove he's a part of this team. He's worked hard enough and done well enough to proved he deserves the chances, and I have no problem with him playing right now, if he reverts back to some of what he did last year, then I think he's the first on the chopping block. If he continues to play the way he has then maybe something has clicked and he'll be solid, hell he may even increase the minutes.

The biggest problem with him were turnovers at his own blue line/not getting the puck out of his zone.

Your rapid defense of anything Stalberg just made my day.

His biggest problem was pretending he was a Top Liner while playing on the 4th line.

I'm not sure why you keep bringing this up, I'm not even sure who it is in reference too? Smith?

People were very critical of Stalberg before this summer. Before any news came out about anyone this summer. This isn't some magical issue that just appeared.

LMAO...to the TCD jokes

I bring up that people were so excited that Smith was gdoing squats and working out like an animal to make the team...

And Stalberg has looked good in the preseason so far. Maybe he worked harder this off season as well and will try to play/define his role better this season.

Toews said he was a player he can see having a breakout year.

Why does this guy get bashed so much? He played 10min a game...on a new team last year...playing on all different line. Of course he's going to try to do a lot to fit in. His game wasn't a run around/bang and crash - but he did a good job of that in the playoffs last year.

So why not see what he does on the 3rd/4th line this year? If he can get 15g/15a in 10-12min a game, I don't see that as a reason to not like the guy's game.

With this line up I am expect the score to be 326 - 0

Stalberg doesn't hit the score sheet.

I would think bigger worries than Stalberg's hands of stone are -

Can Bickell score within 5 feet of the net or continue to play like he's 5'6?

What will Olesz bring?

How many dipshit penalties will Carcillo take before he's sitting in the press box? - took some last game already

Frolik got big dollars this off season - is he going to be 11g Fro - or the 20+ guy?
