Except for his stupid penalty and occasionally slow play, he's real good on the PK. This loss is squarely at Q's feet though. He better have a come to Jesus meeting with Sharp and Versteeg in that locker room.

Story of the whole playoffs. It's strange to see how much a team has strayed from the things that made them successful in the first place.

Can only hope this loss wakes Q the **** up and he starts putting together some lines that makes some sense and have the team playing to their strengths. But maybe that is too much to ask for.

The PK is awful so not sure where the "Handzus is great killing penalties" evidence is.

From Twitter:

Handzus is 24 of 63 on PK draws in playoffs.

Kruger who led the team in PK draws in reg season is 5 of 6.

Quenneville is an asshole.

Normally its not, but I factor in the effort during the games they lost. I just hope I'm wrong.

I agree with whoever suggested sitting Versteeg, Sharp and Roszival and brining in some fresh legs. What could it hurt at this point?

Detroit didn't have a goalie the caliber of Quick either.

Something tells me this is it. I blame crappy effort and lack of caring on quite a number of players, and that's not including LA's constant counterattacks.

Q's lines aren't helping in that regard, either.

my only concern is LA's center depth. Carter on the second line is eating us alive.

Quick is streaky and the boys just need to lift it on him.

It just makes sense to keep playing Handzus against him, right?

If it isn't broke, don't fix it, right?

I guess the coaching staff doesn't consider running off the tracks, plummeting over the cliff, in a ball of flames...broken. To each their own.
