Carter just takes Shaw down on a 1 on 1 and nothing, would be a penalty shot the other way.

Don't let it devolve into blaming the officials. Every team has to get through bad officiating. It's not a valid excuse 99.9 percent of the time. They've had their chances, and have failed to captilize on them. A bad call in a period doesn't affect something 10 minutes later. It didn't make things like Keith give that puck up to Kopitar which led to a goal, who is a Selke finalist himself. Or that bouncing puck Toews couldn't quite clear to lead to another goal.

What it did lead to was a mental implosion which is what we were talking about.

I guess that works if you want to underestimate one of the best two way forwards in the league. Or believe that "mental breakdowns" cause bouncing pucks.

So the question now is if the Kings win in 5?

What we have been seeing the past three games is not bouncing pucks, it's a mental collapse. Sure bouncing pucks, bad calls, etc. etc. have contributed, but our mental game has been absent and big picture that is why we are getting beat like a drum. That and LA is a pretty fucking good team.

Woke up only to see the end of the 2nd and the score. I guess the Hawks are again getting outmatched. Not blaming the goalie, but it made me think which Crawford is the real one, the one that got them this far or the one that has showed up in this series?

Considering this is the first time the Kings have this sort of commanding lead in a series, perhaps it means that they will be on the other side of a comeback for a change.

I'm not saying they haven't been that way during some of this series, I'm just saying one bad call doesn't account for the type of goals that have happened in this game.

I'm not blaming the goals on the call, the goals are because we aren't clearing out the crease. I think 3 of the goals this game came off screens.

Also Keith has not looked right this whole series, he's not jumping plays and getting that first fast couple strides he usually does. I'm thinking he might be nursing an injury.

I don't think it was you, someone said that bad call swung the momentum for good or something and that they crumble at the first sign of adversity. And I think that's bullshit. This is pretty much the same team as last year and came back down 3-1 in a series, this is the same team that won 4 straight against St Louis. I can't believe that one bad call does them in for the entire game, they have proven to be much more resilient than that.

I think LA is simply playing better thus far, and it's something that not a lot of fans, in any sport, like to admit to. It's always their own team not playing up to their potential, it's never what the other team is doing to stop them. There's a reason LA made the Conference Finals three years running, they're a great team.

Pez and Variable: It hasn't been just ONE bad call per game. What have you guys been watching? The team is demoralized knowing that they have the difficult task of beating a very good Kings team, AND the guys in striped shirts.
