Had Q taken a time out, he would of given Toews and Hossa just 30 seconds of rest after a full minute shift at the end of the game. He would of also allowed Yeo to draw up a play off the faceoff in the offensive zone with his best players. Koivu, Parise, Granlund and Pominville out with the extra guy and Suter? Shit they practically scored had it not been for Crawford on the sequence before.
Keep their best players on the ice and just as rested as your top two defensive forwards (6 on 5) or play your next best defensive forwards against 6 guys who are not even good enough to play on the Hawks 3rd line. I'm gonna take the later, as did Q and Hawks had no issues on the final shift. No surprise.

Not good enough to play on the Hawks' third line? So you're telling me that Niederreiter and Coyle are not better players than any one of Nordstrom, Regin, Versteeg, Smith, or Kruger? Ok...

Pez your disstain for Q is hilarious. Guy has two SC rings, was able to adjust his team between cup years to a puck possession style that many teams cannot stop when running at full blast, and gets the most out of his players.
What else do you want from a Head Coach?

Adjust the team between cup years to a puck possession style? The Hawks have been playing a puck possession game since 2009.

All I want him to do is use common fucking sense when putting the lines together and let the best players be the best players. That's not much to ask for.
