I'm glad someone agrees with me.

Doesn't mean this series won't be difficult. I just don't like teams trying to outskate us like Colorado would have.

With shaky goaltending behind Minnesota's pipes as well, I want to see us take full advantage of that with some good ol' aggressive forechecking. We SHOULD be the Hawks of last year in this series.

This thing that worries me less about Minny than Colorado is when someone makes a bad turnover--like Versteeg coughing the puck up or someone else makes a bad pass. Colorado would likley make that a breaway, 2-man breakaway, 2-1, etc and force Crawford to have to make massive saves. Minny, like St Louis, has less speed so that eventuality is easier to mitigate.

Ultimately though I don't think either would be a pushover. the 'hawks are going to have to dig deep for this one as well

I do like Minnie better than Colorado for a 2nd round opponent, but Minnesota is playing some pretty damn solid hockey. I watched a lot of the Minnie/Avs series and the pace was amazing and skill level was high. They'll present a big challenge to the Hawks and will beat us IF the Hawks lapse back into the sloppiness that has happened so often since Dec 1 or so. I think that if the Hawks play the game the right way and possess the puck 60% of the time they will be fine.

Ironic that, as we enter this series, the Wild again has goaltender health issues, but they are playing a hell of a lot better than last season. In my eyes, it's up to the Hawks how this comes out.

Who's to say, Avs didn't take them loosly, thinking they are the #1 seed and Wild being 8th. Happens all the time. Avs should have won, but got caught thinking it was a cake walk.

Okay hawks we have to sweep. That way we are only exposed to super ****** bag ****** Matt Cooke for 1 game. Thereby limited his chances to end Kane and/or Toews career.

I think Toews has a sore shoulder, Ott got him a couple times on the boards last series.

...and the quicker we close out this series, the longer our rest, while Kings/Ducks beat the crap out of each other, for 6 or (hopefull) 7 games.

So Shaw is done for the game and now we get to see Nordstrom's ass on the third line. Awesome.

Hopefully he can play the next game, but if he can't, it has to be Morin right?
