Apparently you didn't read "after winning 2". Hawks are 1-12 in game 3 on the road in the last 5 years. :icon-lol:

I knew they were bad, but not that bad. What's the reason I wonder. Too conservative on the road, would have thought after the first 5 or 6 losses they might re-consider that approach?

And I would also like to nominate Pez with the Jack Adams award. He sure knows what a useless turd that Q is. Pez would have the Hawks gunning for their 5th Cup in a row now. One of these days your time in the sun will come!

Can someone please tell me why the Hawks insist on trying to beat teams at their own game? I mean, it was obvious from the start that the Hawks were going to play a conservative, defensive game. I think Brookbank for Leddy had a lot to do with that. Why do they insist on dumbing down their game to match their opponents? Play to your strengths, not the other team's strengths....

And yah Minnesota..a hockey state...deserves far more entertaining hockey than this garbage they get. I like their fan base..i have always liked Minnesotas support for hockey. Give them trap hockey? Just fucking rude. That's like giving Bill Cosby No Name Jello. Bull shit I tells ya.

Jacques Lemaire gave trap hockey to them for 9 years.... whats another three seasons under Mike Yeo?

6 game win streak and you're bitching about 4th line players. Riiiiiiiiight. You are probably still second guessing Stan for letting Stalberg go, "OOOOHH, we can't win without his speed" the 4th line will suck now.

It was sarcasm. And for 3 million a year Stalberg can play anywhere he wants to as long as it's not in Chicago.

Someone far more talented than me gave me this .gif yesterday. I used it in my recap over on our site, but I'd be remiss if I didn't share it.

I started flipping over to family guy once the wild were up 2-0. Hawks didn't really play with much urgency the whole game until they were down by 2. 20 shots on goal isn't going to do a whole lot for offense and while the Wild were playing a defensive system, the Hawks still have the fire power to get more chances then they had.

I'm really done with Versteeg playing on the team. At this point Morin is better with puck protection. Watched Versteeg turn it over twice in one shift in the 3rd while in the offensive zone and that's just a drive killer.

Why Leddy wasn't playing is beyond me, but at this point I don't think 1 guy, especially on defense, was going to jump start the team with how flat they came out as.

He's not even boring, he's just useless. He's a fringe NHLer who brings absolutely zero offensive skill or physicality to the table. He just skates around really hard accomplishing nothing.

With Shaw out, Morin should be in. He has shown he can play physically, and put the puck into the net. Rozsival showed how bad he is playing 17+ minutes tonight. He was absolutely terrible in all aspects of the game.

The Hawks had zero transition game and couldn't get anything going on the counter-attack. Not a surprise considering who you had trying to make those outlet passes.

Oduya had a particularly bad game too. Turned the puck over so many times I lost count. But then again, he was playing with Rozsival a lot, which makes absolutely no sense to me.

Nobody was good tonight, but for ****'s sake, at least ice the best lineup... The Hawks had a chance to bury these assholes and they looked like they were just throwing the game away.

Quenneville's ego must prove he's the smartest guy in the arena.

Unhappy with the loss but it's nice to see one of his idiotic coaching decisions blow up in his face.

Am I wrong for thinking they weren't too bad through 2 periods except for the dumb penalties and a few giveaways and then just utterly collapsed in the 3rd? Think they got a few posts?

It had nothing to do with Morin and/or Leddy.

It has to do with playing your best players.

Quenneville didn't do that yesterday.

hawks are winning game four, don't know the score but they are winning. i also knew they were losing game 3 so I'm a pretty credible source. some might say more credible than chris kuc and peggy kusinski

I have a funny comment to reply to this... but I have a feeling there would be fake outrage over it.

Weren't too bad? That game was coma inducing. Why the **** are the Hawks trying to out-trap a trapping team? Shove the fucking trap down their throats and play your high-tempo, puck possession, counter-attack game. They had 15 shots through 2 periods, and maybe ONE of those was a good scoring chance. Against a team like the Wild you want to open up the game and get them to try trading chances with you. The Hawks had 3-4 guys dropping back into the neutral zone every time the Wild got possession in their zone. Their forecheck was pathetic. It's depressing to watch a team with their talent play like fucking Nashville. The fact that Q was happy with their effort through two periods is the worst part of all of it. They generated ZERO offense, and he seemed perfectly happy with that.
