In the past week:

.259 BA
.310 OBP
1 HR

I wouldnt phrase it as "tearing it up" these numbers should be this consistently and his OBP is still poor.

Oh, I thought they showed he was hitting like a .320 over the last 9 or 10 games or something.

not even close. baseball ref per game logs
Weird. I'm sure you saw that same graphic highlighting Beckham's past few games during the game. I think it was when they showed the starting lineups or when he came up to bat the first time. Either Sunday or yesterday.

LOL tearing it up? What on earth are you smoking?

The guy has had like two good games since July.

Two great games in the last five going into last night from the ninth place hitter. Yes, sign me up for that.

Bad Since July? Had what five multi hit games/multi run games. Not good I won;t say it was. He was great from and of APr til Youk's arrival. Raised his OPS 250 points. He had shown signs that he finally figured it out. Now he has no protection and he's abck to a marginal hitter for the msot part.

I'll take the run, especially right now.

so what is it going to take to get Viciedo to see more pitches. I know he is 23 and young as fuck, but I wish he would lay off the breaking shit.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Toledo Rockets
Viciedo needs to learn some discipline for sure.

He's putting up okay numbers for a free swinger who doesn't walk with 20 home runs and an wRC+ of 92. Still below what we want.

If he could learn to take some walks and raise his OBP to even something in the .320ish he would an even much more useful asset.

Beckham doing it again. 7 game hit streak batting in the 9 hole. Definitely been nice to see down this stretch.

Sucks, because he's pretty awesome, but I think we all kind of saw this coming.

Hopefully they try to sign Pierzynski though.

AJ is getting old though. If they do resign him they should do it on the cheap.
