With the lockout ending (praise Jesus!), the upcoming FA period is going to be a mad scramble. Add to it the amnesty clause, which will allow teams to shed 1 contract without it counting against the cap, & things get even more interesting.

So the question is, who do you think will be cut?

I can throw out a few names that are destined to be shed from payroll. Rashard Lewis, Gilbert Arenas, Baron Davis, Brandon Roy, & Charlie Villnueva just off the top of my head.

Baron Davis is the first guy I can think of. If he stays in Cleveland, he will purposely try to outshine Kyrie Irving. So to get their future started, they need to let him go.

Brandon Roy is gone from POR. Rashard Lewis is gone from WAS. Either Arenas or Turkoglu is gone from ORL.

I hope the Pistons cut Ben Gordon so he can come home.
Or at least so he can go to a team that he can fix hs career on.

nice, I was going to ask the same thing.

I would want the Bulls to let go of Boozer. His salary just doesn't match up with what he gives us on the court. No defense and he even shrunk on offense at times last season. Plus he gets injured a lot. Don't wanna keep him around for another 4 years.

But around the league, I see rashard lewis getting cut, Ron Artest, maybe ben gordon, gilbert arenas, etc. Basically guys who make too much and aren't producing.

Do Amnesty Clause cut players become FAs?

I'd love to cut Boozer, then sign him on a one-year heavily incentive-laden deal :fap:

Yeah, I think they do. Idk what else would happen to them haha.

Althought I think I heard a rumor saying that Boozer won't be cut.

I wonder if they'd issue him an ultimatum. Let us re-work your contract to where you're still being paid over $10M/year for the same # of years (albeit a few mil less than he's already making) or be cut.

Boozer is not getting cut this year, but I wouldn't rule it out for the year after if things go wrong.

I think the Players Union may have something to say about that.

What about cutting Korver under this clause :dunno:

Korver is pretty cheap, so I say no. I think he should stay.

Korver is that pick me up shooter. Boozer, when healthy is a great player, lead the nba in rebounds just 2 years ago right?

Ben Gordon in the D league would still shoot an unbelievable amount, hit 50% but have 35 points....

OT: SP i just played NBA 2k11 as the Nuggets and threw down 47 with Smith :D
