People sleeping on Boozer lol. That man can play. I wouldn't amnesty him or anyone else on the team.

i think the bulls should keep him or trade him rather than cut him

problem with boozer is he's overpaid and also he's injury prone which slows him down a bit...if he's healthy he's a good 17 10 guy...a legitimate post option

Korver is that pick me up shooter. Boozer, when healthy is a great player, lead the nba in rebounds just 2 years ago right?

Ben Gordon in the D league would still shoot an unbelievable amount, hit 50% but have 35 points....

OT: SP i just played NBA 2k11 as the Nuggets and threw down 47 with Smith :D
Psh...I can drop 50 and 10 with Kirk Hinrich. ;)

I just played 2k11 vs. the Nuggets in 2k11.

The guy playing as the Nuggets opened the game with a couple of J.R. Smith dunks and replayed them both.

I won by 20+ points as the Bulls.

this amnesty clause seems pretty cool. Although I can only think of 1 player that we could use it on.

The Bulls will not use this clause. The only thing they will use it for, is to possibly pick up a good player on the cheap. These players are still getting paid their millions from their previous team. It just doesn't count against their salary cap. There could be some real 1-2yr steals in the pile of players that will be let go Dec. 9th.

I echo what DC said, don't sleep on Boozer. With a fully healthy year, you'll see why he is an all-star caliber player.

As much as I don't like Boozer, it would be a bad move for us to cut him without having a replacement lined up. We would need to have a better idea, that what we have now, of who is likely going to be cut, to even think about taking that risk.

We already have a Boozer replacement. His name is Taj Gibson.

Taj is good, but that isn't good enough. I would start Taj if we had better role players, and a fitting SG. Taj can't produce enough offense by himself, nor is he good for more than 30mpg in a condensed schedule. He still has foot problems in both his feet.

It's perfect to have Taj, while we have injury prone Boozer.

The Boozer hate on this forum just puzzles me. I remember last season, when Los was on a 20-10 pace before the all-star break & people on here were debating whether or not he should be on the all-star team. Then 2 months later, after suffering one of the scarier looking falls I've seen in the last few years in the NBA, he's hot garbage.

The dude can play. Is he overpaid? Well, sure, so is 75-85% of the NBA. But we've only seen a glimpse of what this guy can do when fully healthy. If he stays healthy this year, we will be the #1 seed again.

I know everyone is clamoring for a 2-guard who can create his own shot, but people seem to forget that after Boozer went down with the leg injury the inside-out game was totally shot from that point on. The had a HUGE impact on the game plan, & forced everything on Rose. People can disagree with me all they want about us not having enough to beat Miami. We have enough to beat Miami. We were in every game in that series. It was bad 4th quarters that did us in. And I've been knocked before for blaming injuries for our loss to them but you can't gloss over them. They had an effect, there's simply no denying that. They weren't the only reason but they were a part of it for sure.

I don't think anyone hates Boozer. I don't hate him, but just disappointed in him last season which was well below expectations. Eventually The Bulls won't be able to afford Booz and Dengs contracts because of Derrick Rose and Noah is getting payed well too..Out of those 4 guys (Rose, Deng, Noah and Boozer), Boozerss contract would be the one id choose to try and get rid of in order to keep our best and get a guy that can put us over the top..And we Have Taj and can continue to develop him into one of the better starting power forwards in the league..With Deng, we don't have any other small forwards to back him up and a solid all around small forward is hard to find available right now.So I would keep Deng over Boozer..........The point is Boozer seems like he doesn't even try on the defensive end which fucks up Noah, Deng and Rose who always put a sold effort every night....And we already have an instant Boozer replacement with Taj, who has already proven himself worthy carrying Boozers spot.......That isn't hate for Boozer, it is business and lack of effort that I seen from dude....Personally, I think Boozer is a cool dude who put more effort on his rap than his defense last year....It is what it is.

After Boozer is cut, he can go back to the mountains of Utah and take NostyleKyle with him and they can be happy together with success as JAZ-men again like old times..
Or Boozer can go back home to Alaska and help Anchoridge start an NBA exspansion team out there with the money he robbed from the Bulls orginization..Ben Wallace and Larry Hughes can come play there too...Boozer will be okay.......but I don't hate the guy :troll:

I don't there it's 'Boozer Hate' so much as Bulls fans realizing that, in the famous words of Dennis Green, 'HE IS WHO WE THOUGHT HE IS!' Boozer is a potential 20-10 guy who couldn't defend a sixth grader and has always been injury prone. I was excited when we signed him, but seeing Taj Gibson develop and knowing that his defensive ceiling is much higher... it kind of gives me pause.

Put it this way -- if another team was willing to offer us something substantial for Boozer (what about a Boozer for Andre Iguodala or Boozer for Marcian Gortat and Mickael Pietrus), I think the Bulls would strongly have to consider it.

if i was hawks i would cut joe johnson

no you wouldnt he aves 18 ppg last year in a down year.

you do realize the owner still has to pay the player no way you eat 100m dollars on a productive player. Brandon Roy is the type of guy you use the clause on not a 20ppg scorer lik J.J.

No way Boozer gets the clause either he is still productive I dont know how the Bulls GM would sell using it to the owner. That is wasting 60m dollars of the Bulls owners money and you just signed the guy last year.

Its a very realistic possibilty Detroit cuts this guy.
If so, should GarPax go after him?

Alfonso Soriano. Oh wait, wrong sport.

I don't think the Bulls cut a single player. Like 1 poster said above, it would be tough to sell Reinsdorf on cutting Boozer after he had just dished out $$$$ for him last year.

If Detroit cuts BG, I would hope Chicago would try hard to get him. They need a 2 to co-exist with Rose & Gordon would be a nice fit for that role.
