well again, it was a theoretical package trade idea to where our starting 5 would have been Rondo, Butler, Gay, Gibson, and Gasol. I think that's a big improvement over what we currently have, but that's just me I guess.
Imo it'd be an improvement, but not one such that we'd suddenly have a better outlook on the season. Still a 2nd round exit at best imo. Plus I have an irrational hatred for Rudy Gay so I'm kinda biased.

What about if we got Boogie? And why do you hate gay?

Every team Rudy gay has gone to seems to get worse.

Sent from the mod station in Nome, Alaska.

Well then obviously I'd do it as Boogie is a top level talent in the league. I hate Rudy Gay because every team he leaves gets better and he's a terrible fantasy player to own in my experience.

Let's not pretend that Derrick is incapable of averaging that many assists though. Looking to score first doesn't mean you're unwilling to pass.

derrick is nowhere near the level Rondo or Curry is at finding open guys and getting them the ball. that's not even debatable. rose struggles to even feed the ball into the post to gasol, one of the simplest passes in basketball

Rondo is a fucking headcase, and the last thing you want a rookie coach to have is a headcase.

Having a KG in the locker room can do that for you.

I never said he had the passing skills of Rondo or Curry nor is that the point. Rose is capable of averaging 6.6 assists per game though. And perhaps I have not seen the same games as you, but I've not seen Rose struggle to make that entry pass at all in the games I've seen.

He can come be a diva and drop dimes for the bulls. I'd be cool with it.

Ray Allen hated him

im not sure anybody in Boston liked him but kinda dealt with him

Rondo being a diva is pretty common knowledge

having a teammate dislike you is different from being a headcase. have you ever disliked someone you worked with? happens every day brah

well this year its harder to notice since Pau isn't on the block posting up as much as last year. but rose definitely struggles with entry passes to the post. unfortunately, most of the guys on the team struggle with this. literally, 2 guys on the team that know how to feed the ball to the post and that's hinrich and dunleavy

Well with how this team's been playing this year that doesn't shock me.

I'm not even mad though, Pau doesn't even finish those post ups half the time it seems like. Taj too. Every post up play is a time waster that usually results in no points.

100% RIGHT. They have needed a good point guard ever since Rose joined the Bulls. Rose is a scorer not a distributor of the ball.

I'm all for trading for Boogie as long as they fire Hoiberg and hire George Karl:)
