JoeHawk is another one with the personal insults. You guys can't be older than 20 years old because it's guys like you that make me not want to talk to the average teenager or twenty-something. I'm sure you guys still live at home too.

You both need to grow up.

Incorrect on both accounts. I am 24 years old and have lived on my own from the age of 18.

I never once proclaimed myself as a Lovie Smith fan, we have gone over this. I wanted him fired after last season but with the performance of our defense and division leading record I want him to stay for next season because he has earned it. In fact I would not even want him signed to an extension as I would like to see even more improvement next season.

You keep pointing out my "blind love" for Lovie when I am the one being realistic on this matter. You just have blind hate for the guy. You have never once gave a reason why he should be fired when this team is currently holding a fist round playoff bye.

I'm glad you didn't ban him for being an idiot. You banned him for violating the forum rules. I would love to see a list of all his usernames, so I could go back and reread his amusing nonsensical rantings.
If I didn't delete 20 or so of his in one night I'd list them all. He's made 50-60 accounts I believe and there are a few of his IP addresses that trace back to all of his accounts

You're a typical 24 year old trust me. I'm sure the most important thing in your life is getting laid and you've only known the Bears under Dave and Lovie. They got to playoffs again but they don't deserve to be there again. Next season if they get lucky enough to make the playoffs again it'll be the same thing. Lovie is not a good coach.

You act like I hate Lovie personally or something. He's just not a good coach and that's his job. It's nothing personal.

Caribbean is banned. His onslaught of idiocy and era of retardation is over.

He has created over 25 usernames, acting like a different person each time. We finally allow him back under that name and then he goes and makes about 20 more.

He can go start a "zomg lovie sux" campaign elsewhere.

If you don't ban his static IP address, he'll be back.

The cover 2 D is effective in the NFC. But as we have all witnessed, any well-coached AFC team will turn it into swiss cheese.

I wouldn't say that. The Patriots offense has become an offense predicated on the short pass, which is the biggest flaw in a Cover 2 defense.

They'll turn the Bears into swiss cheese because they don't have good enough safeties or corners to execute it. Picking up Peppers was a brilliant move. At least now they have the front 4 that can handle the responsibility of putting pressure on the QB. Until now the only way they could do that was by blitzing. At least Peppers and Idonije can. Urlacher and Briggs are fast and versatile enough to handle the intermediate coverage but they need one more line backer. Still, without the safeties and corners the defense can be exploited in a big way as Tom Brady proved and I'm pretty sure every QB the Bears will potentially face in the playoffs took notes.

Not to mention that the defense as a whole is very inconsistent. They can force a 3 and out on one possession and then on the next can't stop them to save their lives. They could not handle the Lions at all in the first half of that game. They couldn't handle the Lions in the first game either.

That's just a myth. The Lions only had one drive the entire game that went over 39 yards...that of course being the drive at the end of the 1st half. Their drives went 28, 38, 39, 39, 91...2, 4, 39, 4.

A myth? I was watching the game go look at the game thread again. The Lions made the Bears look foolish that entire first half. Then they Played the entire Patriots game that way.

I watched the entire game too, my friend...as the stats I posted are the truth. The Lions would look okay, getting a couple first downs on drives in the first half...but the defense only had one bad drive the entire game...The Lions did benefit from a bad punt that was returned for 19 yards, to the Bears 38 yard line...and they scored their first TD on that drive....but typically, if you give up less than 32 yards/drive in a game, your defense is doing the job.

Can we get back to the Bears and less on the attacks on posters that don't agree with your thinking. If everyone agree with everything that was posted by another poster this would be a very boring board.

I was not attacking in any form. just stating why I disagreed w/ IronMike. I actually like IronMike, he brings a different perspective to things, and makes most of us think outside the box...I do tend to disagree w/ him, but I try not to personally attack him. He gets my nerves up from time to time, but no harm, no foul. we've both said things to each other we don't necessarily mean, but it's cool, it's a msg board.
