If they could manage to trade up for fields and keep this year's second thatd be huge. Then trade Robinson for a 2nd. With the 2 2nds get a wr and lt (cosmi/leatherwood/radunz and Marshall/Moore/whoever). Release Leno. Sign like a Richard Sherman or something along those lines for cb. They'd be looking solid.
That would be a very nice scenario

Not really. The 4th round pick being gone is some huge loss to you? Or do they need multiple picks in the 1st/2nd for it not to be limited.
Its ironic shitposting, the oldest schtick there is. He's just pretending to be an idiot because that is somehow amusing still. Notice how he uses "have" instead of "half".

They have 8 picks. 5 of them are in the bottom have of the draft. 4 of the 5 are in the 6th round. That’s limited draft capital!!

How many selections does a team in the NFL have to start each draft season if they haven’t made a trade or have zero comp picks?

Some fans just love to bitch no matter what.

Imagine being a franchise in cap hell with no QB, an old defense and limited draft capital.

Must suck being a fan of that team.

I won't go so far as to call our D "old." Hell, weren't we "contending" for a Super Bowl a year or two ago? Bottom line-we have no Q.B. Same shit, different day.

That was actually three years ago now. Time flies when you're getting worse every off-season.

Oldest defense in the league in 2020

I guess I just don't know the answer to the following two questions:
Is it a hard cap?
Can you pay a luxury tax?

Shout out to the posters who don't want the Bears to get a top tier QB because it'll kill their cap. Oh wait...

Imagine having the worst cap situation in the league without a QB, LT and they let go of their best CB. Quinn lololololol

People do know other teams had to give up players due to cap. I still not sure why they had to sign Dalton, but I'm just going to take a page out of my dads book and not worry about it till training camp they get paid way too much for me to care right now.

I don't really think the Bears have the worst cap situation in the league. They could cut Akiem Hicks, Jimmy Graham and Charles Leno Jr. and create a lot of room, and just because these things haven't happened yet doesn't mean that they wont.

Something will have to happen, OTC has the Bears @ -$2, 400,000 once they fill out the roster to 51 players.
Second round of FA will begin next week after the draft as vets are cut to make room and clear cap for the rookie class.

Maybe they are just waiting for Jimmy Graham to retire? Maybe they actually intend on drafting an offensive tackle and cutting Leno Jr.? Akiem Hicks, as great a player as he was, is cooked.

The fact they cut Kyle Fuller before any of the low-hanging fruit makes me believe all of these guys are basically gone we just don't know it yet.

They literally have the least cap space in the league despite being severely void of top tier talent at premium positions. What a weird defense.

Right, but they can add quite a bit of cap space by making some very obvious moves. The issues at left tackle and quarterback are well known, why they refuse to really address the former is anyone's guess. It drives me crazy too.
