No one is saying they do nothing. If you don’t have the common sense to follow the logic that offensive coaches generally (and probably universally maybe with the exception of the single greatest HC derp derp) have a better understanding of running an offense, which includes QB play, than you really are obtuse and stubborn.

No one argued this so this is another strawman. All I said is Flores can likely help with Caleb understanding how to attack the blitz given his extensive knowledge of blitz schemes and ensure Caleb focuses on his funadmanetals like footwork because he has a fanatical attention to detail.

No one suggested that Flores would do this alone or that his OC and QB coach wouldnt be instrumental in Caleb's overall development. Or that Flores would be better than Ben Johnson in developing a QB. All I said is he can still provide insights and you went off the deep end likely because you prefer an O minded HC.

A simple response like many others would have been to say you prefer a O minded HC rather than making up shit I never said and then arguing against it.

I don’t hate Brian Flores but I’m not sure he’s the right pick to the lead Bears.

Like a Mike Ditka or a Buddy Ryan (RIP).....Flores just might be the no non sense guy to set a fire under this team, get them motivated, as well as being held accountable for winning. Right now...this team seems comfortable with losing. No one seems pissed off about losing aside from Caleb and Moore

As a Lions fan, I can't think of anything that would make me more happy than the Bears not choosing Ben Johnson, and instead hiring Brian Flores. For once in his life I hope Remy is on to something................
@remydat isn't on to anything. It's sounding like Ben Johnson won't be our choice because he's going to choose Jax and @remydat only started talking more serious about Flores after the rumors came out about how he's high on Poles' list and the connections came out that he and Poles went to BC together and Warrens ridiculous connection that because he once worked for Minn and Flores is there now even though they were both never there together.

I would think it makes sense to interview both Flores and Johnson. If nothing else, you may be able to glean some insight from a division rival on what they perceive to be the strengths and weaknesses of your team by virtue of how they would want to address them. That assumes of course that a discussion like that happens at some level during the interview process.

God knows Eberflus and his staff could not self scout their way out of a wet paper bag.

Let me preface this by saying this is predicated on it really being Poles pick but reading the tea leaves I think Johnson while liking Chicago will likely go somewhere he can pick his GM and a smaller market.

I dont think the Bears will like the optics of a first time HC forcing a GM out so if Johnson doesnt want to work with Poles then I think Poles opts for a guy he is very familiar with in Brian Flores.

Warren will sign off because of the rave reviews his Minny connections have given on Flores. Hiring Flores like Johnson weakens a division rival although it comes with the downside of giving Minny 2 3rd round picks in 2025 and 2026.

Flores also makes sense because several players from Kmet to JJ to Gordon to Byard to Allen have spoken about needing a coach to instill discipline and Flores does not **** around.

We also know Flores doesnt have a problem challenging shitty owners or upper management as he told Ross to **** off when Ross wanted him to tank and turned him in for tampering with Brady the Dolphins a 1st. So he will also hold the ownership and upper management accountable which is what this franchise needs.

Now the biggest issue with Flores is his handling of the the QB and O. His OCs in Miami left a lot to be desired and he obviously has issues with Tua. Having said that he would naturally only take the job if he believed in Caleb and he saw Caleb upclose and personal twice so likely has an idea of what Caleb needs to improve. Caleb struggles againat the blitz and Flores likely has a lot of insights on how a QB might attack the blitz given his heavy blitzing scheme. Not to mention Caleb should improve as a result of having to practice against the blitz a **** ton.

I think Flores will also be good for Caleb in ensuring he focuses on the fundamentals namely his footwork and mechanics which IMO is the root cause of Caleb's accuracy issues. Flores IMO will also ensure Caleb stays disciplined when it comes to taking what the D gives him and not eating sacks as don't think Flores will tolerate that sort of stupidity from his QB.

Of course the other big question for Flores is who he gets as an OC but that is a bit of an unknown at this point although a few decent options that he has connections with like McDaniels, O'Brien exist.
lets see hoe everyone feelsafter Ben Johnsons offense shreds his ass on Sunday night

Nope this is the entirety of what I said.

The point was a defensive minded HC can still help a QB. In Caleb's and Flores' case it was the 2 issues I mentioned. For another coach and QB combo it may be other issues.
Nope, that is not the topic. The topic is you saying:

1. Are you really saying a DC known for blitzing and who will be showing Caleb blitzes in practice every single day won't be able to assist Caleb at all? Like Flores has no idea how a QB should try and defeat a blitz package he may have and can't share that insight with Caleb?

2. Are you really saying a coach known for his extreme attention to detail cannot possibly ensure that Caleb pays attention to detail when it comes to footwork and mechanics?
Is Belichick and Carroll known for blitzing? Asking for a friend.

There are four NFL teams that have never appeared in a Super Bowl: the Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Houston Texans,

There is only one team that has never had a Qb to throw for over 4000 yds.........
Even with an expanded 17 game season and a reported "top WR core" they fall short.
Enjoy your museum.

How embarrassing it must be for the Lions and their fans that despite not having a 4k yard QB the Bears have made multiple SBs and won 1.

I didn't lie about anything. I posted what NFLPA players voted when he was in Minny. I said nothing about his time in Miami as the point was his current players seem to love him so that is an indication that he has matured since his time in Miami.

If he was still being a hard ass to the point of pissing the majority of players off then his players wouldn't have voted him as the 4th best DC.
There are 32 teams in a league. You can certainly finish higher than fourth without a single vote from one of the 32 teams.
