You’re being so obtuse it’s laughable. Keep talking yourself into the idea of another Defensive HC…

If only the rest of the NFL knew that all it took was a blitzing DC to develop a QB… best kept secret in the NFL.
Strawman alert. We arent talking about developing a QB in their entirety. We are talking about 2 of Caleb's specific issues. Not all QBs have significant issues against the blitz or lack attention to detail. Those 2 elements are also very small parts to developing a QB and Caleb has a lot more to work on than just those 2.

It is fine if you disagree but at least disagree with what I am saying instead of making up stuff I never said.

This is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Can you point to any example in NFL history of either of these things happening? Did Mike Tomczak attribute his NFL career to practicing against Buddy Ryan's blitz scheme? Did Mac Jones develop through the 'osmosis' of Bill Belichick's 'extreme attention to detail'?

Can an aeronautical engineer (Matt Patricia) teach Matt Stafford how to fly an airplane through 'extreme attention to detail'?
Tom Brady and Bellichick. Pete Carrol and Russell Wilson. Big Ben with Cower and Tomlin.

I want to be the first poster to create a "Fire (insert name here)" thread. Which I will post immediately after the introductory press conference.

How are you sure he's changed his ways?
Bill Belichick was fired as a first time coach — so was Pete Carroll and so many others who have gone on to win Super Bowls and have Hall of Fame careers. It has been proven that these guys can change and learn a helluva lot from their first time in the big seat. If reports are that he has learned and grown from his first go round, those reports are probably true. Only an idiot would go through what he went through and not learn from it… and Flores is no idiot.

He deserves a second shot. Whether that is with this team or not, remains to be determined.

It's funny that you say that he lashed out at Tua because he didn't have the power to pick another QB like it's okay that he did that. SMDH. Nothing to do with power at all. SMDH

So he got mad because he didn't have enough power and you're good with that as our next HC. So the GM has to draft who he wants them to or he'll take it out on the other players. SMDH

Hurry up and get this guy in here.

I already said it was wrong and already posted quotes of Flores saying it was wrong.

No I am not good with that as the nect HC because I believe he has learned from being an idiot the last time.

Yes that's him speaking after Tua and other players came out and talked about how he's someone they didn't like playing for and much more so now he has to save face and say the right things to do his best to fix his reputation. His agent probably wrote that with him. LOL
Except the dinner and camaderie Phillips and Mettellus said he built was before the Tua story broke. Tua spoke Aug 2024. He joined the Vikes in Spring 2023 and the events Philips and Metellus spoke about was summer 2023.

I don’t hate Brian Flores but I’m not sure he’s the right pick to the lead Bears. It is pretty funny that remy of course is hitching his wagon to the one minority in the running.
Yeah did you know Flus who I also supported retaining coming into this year is also a minority?

His arm talent has been horrible. His accuracy is not good. This is just not correct to say.

Talent and results are two different things sir.

Flores is a damn good football coach. Plus, he’s a hard nosed SOB. If the Bears had a veteran QB, I could see it.

He’s just not the right guy for Caleb. Caleb needs a coach that is going to bring his offensive system and call the plays.

If Flores could guarantee he’s bringing an excellent OC option that would stay put then maybe, but how would that happen?
We as fans want to see an offensive minded HC but from everything, I have seen lately the leaders of this team JJ, Edwards, Kmet, and now Williams want a HC who will coach them hard, will take command of the locker room. Sorry to say but a coach like Flores.

I’m not advocating Flores for HC but tbf, Flores owned up to it and said he’s learned some things along the way, so I give him credit for that. Also, that approach could actually work on some players. Look at MJ - He was a grade A asshole but even his role players said guess what? It worked.

He’s clearly not afraid to hurt players feelings and with this group of softy cry babies, that might be a good thing. What’s not a good thing is his OC track record. It’s absolute vomit and the main reason he shouldn’t be hired. Who would his OC be?
Well, one soon to be fired HC Brian Dabol has a long coaching relationship with Flores when both were with NE and again when Dabol was OC with the Bills coaching against Flores Dolphins team. Bears could do worse than Flores/Dabol.

Correct. Fans be acting like the HC is for them rather than for the players. Even offensive players like Williams, Kmet and Allen are saying they need a coach who will instill discipline.

Yeah Flores has some options at OC and his candidacy obviously hinges on who his OC will be and the plan for Caleb. If he can pull an OC especially one with HC experience that would go a long way.

See post 51. There are reports from the Vikings players.
There's a report from one Vikings player that decided to speak for all of them but not sure they all knew he was speaking for them.

What OC's out there that fit that description? It's a serious question, I really don't know. The only one that springs to mind in McDaniels and just no to that. Who else is available? I guess maybe DaBoll if he gets fired and doesn't land another HC job?

That's the same question I have for Vrabel. What is the long term plan as OC and building a sustainable offense? That's always going to be the question mark around any defensive HC.

It was actually 2 players and again he was voted 4th best DC so that means the majority of Vikings players voted for him.

If he is as hated on the Vikes as you are trying to pretend then 28 DCs must be even more hated and Ben Johnson must be more hated as Johnson didnt even make the list of top 5 OCs as voted by the players.

I don't think i've seen many if anyone that hates Flores, we're just saying there's concerns with him where you somehow think they're fixed because he said they were.

Show me where i said he was hated on the Vikings? You can't because this is what you do when you're in your vortex with multiple people that are having fun with the stupid shit you say. You start lying and saying people said something they didn't say or you try spinning what you actually said into something else.

those players are voting for their own defense so it's expected. Every teams players vote for their own coaches. It's kinda a thing.

This is illogical. Caleb is a different QB from previous Bears QBs and Flores a different HC.

The D guys like Lovie and Flus are not about disguises and predicated on a 4 man rush. That isnt going to help a QB that is struggling with the blitz or with disguised coverages. Floes is obviously a master at blitzing and disguises.

Caleb is also a far more talented a passer than the other QBs.
No, what’s illogical is the horse shit you constantly spew.
