I actually use a reusable filter in my coffee maker too and have it set to a pretty accurate science to where I rarely have to dump any coffee. If I was a cup a day drinker I would consider a Keurig, but I usually drink 4 to 5 cups (2 mugs) of coffee a day.
And all the soap and water each day to clean it

I am roasting beans and using my french press again.
I can't remember why I took any time off. My coffee is divine.
Monday morning I had just poured a cup really strong, french pressed Sumatran, took a few drinks and was blown away.
Looked at my poor, tired, wiped out, tornado refuge underling, slammed coffee cup into his hand and told him to take a big drink of that.
He took a drink, and instantly stood all the way up while shaking his head and said "Damn! That is, uh, intense. I thought I made good coffee but I think that put some more hair on my balls."
The kid does good work, but not good enough to spoil him with a full cup, not on work time.
I set my alarm 15 minutes earlier now to make good 32oz from press.

YUM!

I don't know if I've ever drank a cup of proper coffee. Don't drink coffee at all really. Not that I don't like it, but can manage without it.

I've drank coffee 3x in my life and didn't like it. Not sure how people get so hooked on it.

I rarely drink coffee. Not bad. But to some, I am a heathen: I put sugar and cream in there.

I've been drinking a Kona breakfast blend and Blue Mountain Jamaican coffee lately. Both are very good, leaning toward the Kona preference wise. Black with sugar is the way to go. I've been using a stainless steel french press for the last year. It's been incredibly durable, easy to clean, don't worry about breaking any glass parts. I saw a vacuum extractor set up on a foodie channel the other day and I'm intrigued. I'd like to try that set up if I don't have to blow a wad of cash on it.

Dunkin Donuts has a Peppermint Mocha ground coffee for home brew right now. Good stuff. We typically get their French Vanilla and Hazelnut for morning home brews.

Yea, that Kona breakfast blend is outstanding. I don't need to add anything to it, but then again I am used to going black with some really crappy vending machine coffee from a past work life.

We have tried those vacuum thingies, and they work ok if you are going to be storing the bag for quite some time.

The only complaint I have with my french press is you do get a tiny amount of groundsleft in the coffee. No biggy and well worth the quality of coffee it makes. My wife complains aboot it a bit though. What I've heard aboot the vacuum set ups is you get comparable taste with out the residual grounds in it. So I'd like to try it, but don't want to spend much.

Blue Mountain is AMAZEBALLS when it is freshly roasted and pressed. It is like drinking coffee flavored air, it is so light and uplifting. That is the one thing I miss/remember the most about my honeymoon (to the second wife).
