One of my favorite, but unknown Bulls players of all time, and the 1st enforcer to protect MJ, was Charles Oakley. Here's a lesson for the young in's that missed out on real basketball. This should give you an idea of what people mean by the NBA was tougher back in the day.

i would hardly call Charles Oakley an unknown in Chicago, lmao...
In fact, he was a fan favorite during his first stint as a Bull.
I remember how pissed some of us Bulls fans were when Charles was traded for Cartwright.

But yeah ill agree that Charles was a tough mf, and one of my favorite xbulls.

I also remember when Oakley came back to the Bulls as an oldman aftrr the dynasty was dismantled....
He played kind of good still too as an oldtimer...He still was a tough mf......
Ill bet he was kind of salty his second stint as a Bull when he'd look around at his garbage teamates, and looking up at the championship banners he missed, lol.......

Reggje got on my nerves too Bearpride.....Bulls fans despised him almost as much as Knicks Fans. I think Knicks fans hated him more though, Lol.....Hates a pretty strong word for me considering i enjoyed watching him play and i didnt hate the guy, especially the way Reggie used to light it up at Madison Gardens........i know he hired extra security whenever he went to NY.....

My favorite Reggie Miller moment was in 1994 when he hit a game winning shot and bowed before Chicago Stadium fans without realizing there was still .8 seconds left thinking it was gameover..... Tony Kucoc taught iim a valuable lesson by hitting the REAL GAME WINNER, LOL......Great pass by Pip i must mention......

Tony was my wigga. :smug:

Scottie, that was awesome, I remember it well! There is one thing your video doesn't show, is after Tony hit that shot, Steve Kerr ran up to Reggie and bowed right in front of him. LOL!!! Kerr Loves to tell that story. Damn, the good 'ol times.

I was a big Tony fan .... and believe me if you want/don't want .... I see a lot of Tony's game in Mirotic. Mark my words Pip!

Charles Oakley a unknown Bulls player?

Don't even ... Mr 21 , with your first smart phone, you were a horny man's wish back then! You might remember the 3 years at the end of Oak's career, but he spent a couple years on the Bulls back in 86-89.

What you don't know, is Oak was MJ's first enforcer/protector. Mike was so good coming into the league that teams decided they were gonna beat the **** out of him. Mike eventually got stronger, and the rest is history, but Oak used to beat the **** out of anyone that fouled Mike too hard. It was Beautiful!

As Pip said, many were pissed when Oak was traded, but it was really a historic thing. Cartwright gave the Bulls the "true" center back then they needed to compete! The historic draft of Pip (trade) and Horace paved the way to let Oak go. The Bulls get their true post center since Gilmore.

Check out all the Bulls championships and tell me about Oak's contributions. But yet that trade was significant towards the Bulls getting there, but whatever dude, you know better than me I guess.

Anyone who was a Bulls fan before 2000 should know who Oakley is. Even then, anyone who knows Bulls history should know who he is. He's never been an unknown player to me. :dunno:

And I was just postin a fuckin video, and making a point that Oak was a kind of unknown influence to the Bulls rings, but never was part of one. In that regard, he is kind of unknown to the Bulls title runs, which was really my point, but you wanted to create a fuckin bitchfest.
