Oh well. I'll call it gravy around Bud, but I'm not going to around my Italian friends because I don't need to be ridiculed, especially when deep down in my heart I believe that it is more of a sauce.

Seriously guys going to bicker over calling sauce gravy? More than some Italians refer to it that way and if your Nona called it gravy your mom likely calls it gravy and so on and so forth. I call it sauce because to me gravy is brown and served on mashed potatoes but it is called gravy by many.

I'm not bickering. I'm just being real. :)

I am doing steak with a nice bernaise sauce and Caesar salad. A couple of shock top summer wheat beers and watching the game alone.

What cut? I'd recommend a nice tenderloin to go with your bearnaise gravy.

Fair enough. Poor word choice on my part. I just saw both sides. Like you I call it sauce and I am Italian but I also have grown up with plenty of Italians who would invite me over for sunday gravy at Nonas.

Lol. I was admonished for using the term "Sunday Gravy" by Italian bros, that's where this all started with me. I made some "Sunday gravy" and they told me it was really good sauce, and to knock off that gravy shit because i sound like a stronzo.

Grilled chicken thighs with a tasty dry rub (brown sugar, cayenne, black pepper, turmeric, chili powder, ginger) on a bed of lo mein with sauteed onions and red peppers. Making a hoisin, plum and garlic gravy.
