Headshot? Done for the series? No suspension? Hockey play? Seabrook should keep his head up?

I've read all of the above.

IMO... should have been 5 and a game for clearly not learning anything after his 4 game suspension he just had.

Seabrook is a champ for being back out there in the 3rd.

Patrick Kane on Torres' hit on Seabrook: "It's one of the worst hits I've ever seen...He should probably be suspended for it."

NHLBlackhawks Chicago Blackhawks

"Brutal" is the word Coach Q used to describe the hit on Seabrook. Absolutely a major he said. Watch him live now: http://bit.ly/eJgJxt

TramyersCSN Tracey Myers

Q on Torres hit: "Brutal. Major. Absolutely. They missed it. we could've gotten four goals on that one." #Blackhawks

ESPNChiHawks Jesse Rogers

Again, the secondary story but heres Vigneault quote on torres hit: "I didn’t think [Torres’ hit] was a penalty". wow. ok.

TramyersCSN Tracey Myers

Q: "I thought it was a major (penalty) live and after seeing the replay, clearly." #Blackhawks

When Jim "bias Canucks fan" Hughson thinks its a head shot then it's a head shot.

I don't care what A.V. thinks about the hit. I don't even know why the media ask the players or the coaches about these type of hits. What did one expect A.V. say? What do they expect the players and Q to say? Tow the line TOW THE LINE!!

Go ask the NHL and the officials what they think...those are the opinions I care about.

Seabs should wear the A next year for some of the shit he has come back from this year. Thought him returning to the ice tonight would light up the rest of the Hawks...maybe it did? Don't know..the dead pan faces on the Hawks bench throughout the 3rd period didn't really give off a good impression.

But yah its a head shot under the new NHL rules. 2 years ago it might have been a "keep your head up" hit? That doesn't matter in the NHL as of right now..it's a head shot. Almost the same hit Torres planted on the Oiler player earlier in the month. Torres doesn't get it. And since it's the same incident that got him suspened a couple weeks ago? He should get min 5 this time around.

Really cap'n? Why wasn't it addressed accordingly during the game?

The power play was sputtering bad. But maybe a 5 minute pp would have helped. It was a totally bogus hit should have been five.

Last years team would have come back on fire after that hit. But of course this team is not last years team. Obviously.

This too.

Agree 100% Jako

Didn't lite up much of a fire under the Hawks which it should have.

It won't matter if they deal with it accordingly on Tuesday, it should have been dealt with then and there. Why won't they run Kessler or one of the Sedin sisters hard, and LEGALLY into the 4th row?

As the Officials walked by me, Kimmerly and Watson after the game, I held up a sign... Which I've never done before. It said.

NHL Refs Memorandum---

Head Shot = 5 minute major and Game Misconduct.

You two should be ashamed and Fined ACCORDINGLY. NHL OFFICIATING SUCKS.

They laughed. Fucking assholes. 2 minutes? Are you fucking kidding me?

PP scored two goals. I'm not sure how many you expect them to score STH...

I don't understand why the Hawks can't score on an extended 5 on 3. They should have scored there. Period. A team that can't convert should hang their head in shame.

I'll tell you why tonight in perticular. Louongo! He made one of the best saves I've seen all year on Sharp then two seconds later slammed Kane.

He's the reason we weren't up 3-0.

And don't worry Jako this team, BEAT TO SHIT, is holding their head in shame. Don't worry.

It's not like 10 of them left won us a fucking CUP or anything.

Wait till the injuries come out next week, assuming they do.

I suspect 3 hawks will have surgery and one wears the C.

I know they did score twice. But that 5 on 3 was a killer. And we had like 8 pp's. Vancouver gave the Hawks tons of chances. But the power play wasn't the main issue. The Hawks just aren't as good as last year. We got spoiled last year. Now if we make the right moves next year we can get back. Move one trade Campbell and replace him with Campoli.

Blame Louongo on that one. Unfortutely he was ON during that PP.

They had some very good chances on a couple of them. 2-8 is what percentage? 18%? I'm not good at math.

Most other teams score on a 5 on 3. The Hawks seem completely incapable of doing so. Kitchen should be sent on his way along with the scrub players we've dragged along this season. Everything Kitchen touches turns to shit.

Give me 2 minutes to work over Torres. I'll give him my special Tom Brady. That gutless bastard should be suspended for the rest of the year.

It was a clear head shot and yeah he should have been sent to the locker room. The hawks this year just lack any form of physical intensity. There is no sandpaper on this team. Our 3rd and 4th lines need serious retooling and scooter needs to find us some guys that want to muck it up a bit (not necessarily fight but you know what I mean). Seriously you think Atlanta would give us Ladd and Buff back for Casper (Hossa). Also we need a new coach, I really dont think Q has a fucking clue.

Since you brought that up can anyone in the class tell me how many times Q had Frolik, NOT A CENTER IN THE NHL, take the face off in the defensive zone today?

At least 5 times I noticed.

Good question.

Let's see what the NHL site has.

This season there were 142 5-on-3 goals.

Hawks had 3 (3/14) on the season, and Vancouver had 1 (1/9).

Gimme a second and I'll see if my math deficient brain can come up with a league avg.

Edit: Ok if I did the math correctly the league avg. for scoring on a 5 on 3 pp this season is...drum roll 31%

Well when these two teams are in the equation, being in the TOP 5 PP's in the league I think that original statement is incorrect.

My math sense tells me 3 for 14 is a better % than 1 for 9. And considering the Canucks have had the BEST PP in the LEAGUE almost all year, what does that tell me?

31% also says no way do "most" teams score, 5 on 3.

Not even the BEST PP TEAM in the league who was 1 for 9. That's just over 11%.
