Honestly, does it really matter whether they were 3/14 or 4/14 or 14/14 on the 5-on-3 during the season? The fact is, they couldn't do it when it counted most, and that sucks more than any regular season stat. They had their chances and buried themselves instead of the puck, it's a shame but half the team can't even take a shot.

although the 5 on 3 we are talking about had TWO excellent shots and two excellent opportunities which their goalie saved.

Actually, they do. Hawks averaged 55 seconds per 5 on 3 advantage. Tampa Bay, who went 11/21 in 5 on 3 advantages, averaged 46 seconds per 5 on 3 advantage. Not sure how you defend the Hawks' performance 5 on 3, but it's been abysmal for a couple years now.

Exactly. The problem with the hawks isn't the 5-3 percentage. It is lackluster performances from some of our stars, injuries, and a 3rd and 4th line with no teeth also i do think outside of Havvy our coaching staff is useless.

Agreed. So fucking bummed because I feel the Hawks have so much potential to bounce back in the new season with some rest, some rehab, some more cashola, some diff pieces, etc. and I hate thinking about the coaching suck that Q and Kitch bring that might bring down their rejuvenated mojo.
