hell, tyler scott could even end up that guy. If caleb is the real deal scott should be open plenty deep this year

Scott reminds me of a less talented Johnny Knox with coordination issues. (and worse hands)

As some of you may remember, I wished Keenan Allen onto this team when his name wasn't even a topic of potential trade talks. So this is my project. And I say back off and let it play out as it may.

P.S. He is probably the best route runner in the league (sorry Tyler Lockett), so no matter what, he is the least of any potential problems.

Please don't disrespect the ghost of Johnny Knox like that. T.Scott has been the most over hyped Bears prospect I've seen since Baby Gronk. Everyone talks about how fast he is and I have yet to see him look like anything more than an average 4.45 speed receiver.

Knox on the other hand was electric. He ran a 4.29 with a 1.47sec 10yd at 6'1"... Scott can't touch that in his dreams.

Knox was a legit burner. He was always open deep

Scott still has issues with drops no? Was a concern last year & cost some late drives. Not that he was the only one. Hopefully he's been hitting the JUGS machine, or bought one for himself, like Mooney.

Allen appears to really be fitting in as a "glue guy", and while that's fine for this year, he's no stranger to his market value at his age, and betting on himself big to earn his next/last deal, wherever that will be. Not sure there's a big enough "I want to stay here" discount. Surely some dumb GM will offer him a bag for a 3 year deal that's really only 2 years. Not sure if Poles would actually use one of the lesser tags (transition/protected?) to see what his value is & gain something if he doesn't match? He'll prob. let him shop his talents freely with best wishes for him.

Allen was let go for a 4th. He’s getting older and injuries could be a concern.

That being said, he knows route running second to none and for a young QB that is priceless. His value isn’t just his production but it’s giving Caleb Williams one less thing to have to process on the field of play. Allen will always be where he supposed to.

Yep. He's an elite addition and I hope they do everything they can to keep him. I honestly think that if Caleb and this team have success (however you grade that—a winning record, certain QB stats, etc.) Allen may want to stay here. I could even see him taking a pay cut to stay. I see him bonding with DJM, CW, and Rome all the time. Why wouldn't he want to be a part of something special, possibly historic?

Being part of a winning culture is fun and all but I'm guessing he wants one final big contract prior to retirement.

Maybe but he's made $110 million over his career. If he's smart he wouldn't be banking on one last contract happening and he's already banked enough that money isn't the object.

He would have to accept some pretty bad injury clauses for any team to pay him bigger than he already gets. So that would still come down to him needing to have socked money away, one bad play could end that big contract.

This is how I see it, too. It's not always about the money.

If he shows he's good, it wouldn't be stupid to give him 3 years. That way it's a larger total sum and he doesn't have to move his family across the country and he can finish out his career here and help Caleb fulfill his potential.
Yep. Exactly.
