I love the rhetoric....set the table for multiple wins, plays well in certain quarters, etc. Bears are 4-10 and currently have an 8 game losing streak, with the offense scoring more than 20 points in 1 of those 8 games. Caleb is playing poorly.

As to the comparison to Fields, please stop. It's like listening to David Haugh proclaim that "Justin Fields is a starting QB somewhere in the NFL". It's proven that he is not. No one was interested in making him their starting QB. Williams being better than a QB that couldn't pass isn't much of an accomplishment.
Fields stans:

“Am I out of touch? No! The 32 NFL front offices and coaches are wrong!”

So they weren’t in position to win against Indy,
I assume you are just trying to troll now. The fact that the Bears lost to a team whose QB had a rating lower than throwing an incomplete pass was one of the low points of the year IMO. And no, they weren't in a "position to win" against Indy. Caleb threw the ball a ton, turned the ball over, and the Bears trailed the entire game. The Bears scored a late TD to make it close, and Indy got a 1st down and ran out the clock.

I'll clip and save this one to your failed rhetoric though....4-10 QB with numerous "positions to win".

I don't think so. Which teams do you think would want Fields as their starting QB?
Teams that need QBs:
Giants, Jets, Colts (if this group comes back, they need to win now and you can't rely on Richardson), Raiders, Browns (but they're stuck with Watson I guess), Titans, Saints, Steelers (if they don't come to terms with Russ)

Not saying they're all going to be in play with him but this is a weak draft class and FA has this cast of characters.
2025 NFL Free Agents

Only Darnold and Wilson have had better years than him. Kirk is going to get cut so a team will get him for $1.25M like Wilson so he'll be attractive too.

I mean, ultimately, he’s going to be the starter for at least the next 2+ years.

People can turn on him if they like, but he’s going to be wearing a Bears jersey in 2027, and likely beyond.

Plenty of time to continue growing, get a better o-line, and set a better culture.
No they are trading him for Mac Jones this offseason. Seems legit.

I’m incredibly encouraged. The guy set the table for multiple wins that the Bears somehow turned into losses. Hopefully, they pick the right coach and focus on building out both lines.
So, you’re deciding to conveniently forget that Justin Fields “set the table” for the Bears to be in the playoffs last season with 10 wins, but Eberflus turned 3 victories into losses (Denver, Detroit, Cleveland)?

And before anyone attempts to question Justin’s play against Cleveland, I will remind them that it’s the same game Robert Tunyan drooped a perfectly thrown pass that would have been an 80 yard TD bomb, and it’s also the same game that Darnell Mooney dropped a Hail Mary pass that landed in his stomach.

Justin wasnt a good passer but his legs actually created an offense that worked at times.

All caleb has done is make some flashy throws while arguably leading the worst offense in the NFL.

Ryan Poles screwed that trade up by waiting too long to pull the trigger. He would have gotten better value back if he traded Fields much earlier.

Once Poles finally decided to trade him, Fields chose to be traded to a Steelers team that had already committed to Russell Wilson as their starter. It’s a great situation for Fields as he will be an understudy that takes over when Russell retires. He did a great job leading the Steelers to a 4-2 record while Russell was out injured.

Sir Caleb was one of the worst 4th Q QBs last year so he and Flus turned 3 wins into losses. By contrast Caleb has been one of the better 4th down QBs.

Do not agree, and any stats that you may respond with are meaningless.

I actually watched the games, and what I saw was a GM, HC, and OC sabotage Fields for two seasons by tanking for high draft picks and never having any intention of keeping him. Thus it resulted in receivers consistently dropping his passes, Centers consistently hiking footballs over his head, and offensive game plans from Getsy designed to make him fail.

That is why you had a stadium full of fans chanting to keep him during his last game in Chicago, and it’s also why you still have a large portion of the fanbase questioning the decision to trade him and draft Caleb.

Doesnt matter if you agree. The truth is he threw 6 picks in the 4th so was instrumental in the Bears sucking in ghe 4th.

No he hasnt. There is a whole thread of about how dudes calling him a diva for grimacing after getting rocked on a hit. It's stupid.
Cool....so in your mind CCS threads = media.

Other than getting sacked a lot, Caleb Williams is just a blip on the pro football radar. No one outside of Chicago cares either way about Caleb.

I liked Justin Fields. I’m not going to rip him.

Did Eberflus have critical fumbles against Denver and Detroit? Just curious…

I guess you forgot that Shane Waldron called a sprint option into a wide 9 on 4th and goal from the 1 in a game they lost by 5 points.

I noticed you didn’t address the other games I mentioned too.

The Bears finally find a guy that can be developed into a top tier QB and meatball fans can’t wait to tear him down.

You’re as bad at this as your namesake was at football.

My fav caleb williams stat is that 46 of his sacks are 2.5+ seconds in the pocket. The Justin "Bustin" Fields special.

Garbage time stats. He's legit the worst first half QB in football.

4 touchdowns to 2 int's in the first half in 14 games.

Yea, thats not getting it done.

But hey, at least he balls out when we're down 3 scores
