This was a tough read.
This was a tough read.
but pff says the bears OL is pretty decent, like 12th best.
That should be the tag line for the season....
The 2024 Chicago Bears: A Tough Read
This was a tough read.
Caleb Hanie was released ages ago.
Every one of these streaks has luck involved but you don't own one without doing something right.Chicago Bears Rookie Caleb Williams On Pace To Break NFL Record Set By Aaron Rodgers
Former USC Trojans quarterback Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears are 4-9 heading into Week 15 of the NFL season. Though it may not be the record they want, Wwww.si.com
Well, unfortunately, that's the state of the offensive line right now.
The one ray of light is Caleb Williams himself seems to be the truth - so if we are able to improve the interior in any substantial way, and the Bears can even just get average offensive linemen, this offense will absolutely pop off.
We don't need extravagant - we just need competent.
This and it's as a lot more about trading 2s and taking a WR at 9 last year than anything to do with selecting Caleb Williams. The either or argument is all about bias.If Poles makes the picks again we're just going to get more of the same. He's drafted plenty of lineman and they all suck - either that or our coaches really suck. Maybe both are true....
They should hopefully, and I mean hopefully draft 2 starting caliber offensive line prospects in the first 3 rounds, then draft 1 late and sign a starting offensive lineman in FA.Yeah - the thing is, I don't know what will really be available in FA. You tend to overpay for a lesser tier of talent 99% of the time. All the "big names" people get excited over at this part of the season usually end up either signed or franchised by the start of FA in March, so its hard to know what is REALLY available until the tag deadline passes.
So your stance is the offensive line was as bad last year and that's why Justin Fields sucks?Again I’m confused and I hope @Mighty Joe Young or @DanielCCSBears explains it to me. Why did the OL regress when all we needed was a change in QB?
I've proven its not hard to make that change. Dejo is a cool dude and something like that wouldn't have stopped him.
Beyond that, yeah, ignore is nice, but when you got trolls flooding the board with bullshit, at times you have it where thanks to the trolls and said ignore list, you got 4 threads on the front page.
Look, don't get salty just because I said nvan was the only one who actually tried to set some rules here (and the forum was better for it while he was able to keep up). He doesn't even personally give a shit about me (hates me actually) but I respect what he tried to do.
Anyway, Rush's whole thing in his own words was he wanted this place to be like a neighborhood tavern; what he fucked up on is that even taverns sometimes throw the obnoxious drunks who keep harrassing the other customers out, because they know keeping them there means less people coming to the establishment overall.
The last time Rush was around these parts, we had a back and forth, and honestly, as you hinted at, he doesn't give a shit about this place - its just a paycheck to him from the advertising....
Can you read? I asked why it regressedSo your stance is the offensive line was as bad last year and that's why Justin Fields sucks?
