You are out of your damn mind if you think Gonzalez is worth at least 2 top prospects AND a huge extension. He's already 28 years old, lets not pretend he is some young guy.

Id say 2 years is quite the difference.. Look at Fonzie's contract.. would you rather have 6 years or 8 years?

With Gonzo though.. I don't see SD moving him at this point.. They are back towards contending now..

JJ is a 3rd or 4th pitcher and Vitters, well who knows. Also, that's a real offer and what it might take to get Gonzalez. The Cubs have ton of MI and tons of pitching. I would rather have JJ over Vitters.
