The problem with Wal-Mart is that since they are open 24 hrs, they have started passing out tickets for the early bird items at like 10 PM the day before. So you have to wait in line to get the ticket, then wait in line again to actually get the product. Best Buy started doing this the past couple of years as well.

Last year everyone started their BF sales at midnight. So by 6AM or so everyone was pretty much done.

The people that start camping out on Wednesday or Thursday are completely insane.

The Walmart here doesnt do tickets. Idk why..

Interesting.
This comes just days after Wal-Mart claims this Black Friday will be their "Biggest and best yet".

http://www.businessinsider.com/walmart-workers-strike-expands-2012-10

Walmart workers are threatening to strike on the busiest day of the year--Black Friday.
A strike would undoubtedly create chaos on an already crazy day.
Protests have been building since last week, when Walmart employees staged the first-ever multi-store strike in the 50-year history of the retailer.
Steve Greenhouse at The New York Times spoke with Dan Schlademan, director of the union-backed Making Change at Walmart campaign.
From the NYT:
"He warned that disgruntled Wal-Mart employees, joined by labor unions and community groups, might stage a combined protest and educational campaign the Friday after Thanksgiving, the traditional start of the holiday shopping season."
So far, there are striking employees from 28 stores, with more to come.
Walmart is supposed to respond to the strikes with an announcement at its investor meeting today. It will be interesting to see how the retailer attempts to put out the fire before Black Friday.
Planning a strike on the busiest shopping weekend of the year would be disastrous for Walmart at a time when it's already facing holiday competition from Target, Costco and Amazon.

Last time, Walmart had something like 12 stores closed because of strikes. Now it's going to be 28 out of some 3-4000 stores nationwide.

Does anybody know if T-Mobile will have any Black Friday deals? My 2 year contract just ended and was wondering if they are going to have deals on some smartphones.

I've seen some rumors that Target won't be participating in Black Friday this year. Sucks, I normally go there for movie deals.

Wow. Walmart doing something different this year. They are having 2 sales (8PM on Thanksgiving, and 10PM on Thanksgiving.

Something completely unique to the Walmart Black Friday sale is Walmart's "1-Hour In-Stock Guarantee" on three Black Friday doorbusters: the Emerson 32" HDTV for $148, the LG Blu-ray Player for $38 and the Apple iPad 2 w/ $75 Gift Card for $399.

The guarantee states that those three items will remain in-stock and available for purchase from 10pm to 11pm on Thanksgiving Day. If any of the items sells out, you can purchase a "Guarantee Card" which will ensure that you will get the item before Christmas at the advertised Black Friday price.

I might try and pickup a Blu-Ray Player for my dad and a TV for my room.

Weird to see a lot of stores doing sales on Thanksgiving instead. Looks like the early morning Black Friday is disappearing.

Best Buys leaked! They are claiming it's a preview though... But there are some VERY nice Blu Ray deals. Might package the Walmart Blu Ray Player and a bunch of Blu Ray's for my Dad's Xmas gift.
