I hope the penalties get dialed down a bit. There was too much called in both Western conference games, but sadly I imagine there will be more coming as the Vancouver/LA series gets grittier. Vancouver trying to draw calls late (Kessler, Sedin) is not going to do them any favors with the stripes.

As for Luongo, he cracks on the road. He's good (certainly good enough) at home usually. Given the way Canucks fans turn out in LA (in large numbers), I'm not especially confident that we'll get a full meltdown in this series.

Yeah, I guess we'll just have to wait for the Blackhawks/Canucks series.

burrows trying to flop and draw that penalty after he got pummeled by Richards was the highlight of my night

Richards steamrolls Burrows:

And almost as good was Kesler's gymnastic routine:

Mike Richards has instantly become one of my favorites with that hit. I was gonna say that anytime someone wants to line up Bieksa for a hit like that...but you know, Bieksa was a -1 and on the ice for 3 of the 4 goals...let's just let him be. He was bad enough on his own.

Richards was a beast last night.

Still can't believe Pancake Penner won it late. :buttrock:

Pens, Wings and Canucks all lose in one night. Great start to the playoffs.

You hear Roenick say the same thing?

Jeremy Roenick: Penguins

Pretty amusing.

I don't hate the Penguins and the fact is- lots of good teams/players gets tagged with the same type of shit (whiners, arrogant, etc). Big deal. You know why nobody says this type of stuff about the Blue Jackets? Because the Blue Jackets are terrible and nobody is trying to get an advantage against them. They blow. The Penguins are really good.

I just like the Flyers. Particularly- Hartnell, Giroux and Simmonds.

I don't disagree. I don't know how anyone besides Flyers fans could like Hartnell, though. :D
