What Im finding pretty funny is the Vigneault school of coaching. Never heard of it? Its when all else fails, hit the hell out of anything that moves....never mind you knock yourself out of position, dont worry about getting penalties up the ass....just hit knock the hell out of your opponent and all will be well. If this moron doesnt win it this year...Im betting he's gone next season. He's not particularly well liked in Vancouver as it is, anything short of a Cup should be his swan song.

3-1 kings.

2 things I don't like about this.

1- if LA can take this series, we have no chance to see a chi-van matchup this year.

2- again, if LA can knock off van... do they get somewhat of a pass due to daniel sedin being out? that would be disappointing.

not really. with carter trade they are deep as **** with skilled players that also hit with a fucking great goalie. the carter trade has made matchups a ***** for the opposition.

 someone is unfamiliar with the way Canucks fans think.

They like to pass the buck.

i understand. i wasnt directing it at you just stating my opinion of that thought that stupid nucks fans will think. there is always an excuse. they went up 3-0 on us and stated they were celebrating too early and that they let up on hawks and thats why the hawks came roaring back. its starts with the coaches and players and spreads like a virus to their dumb ass green spandex looking fans. **** vancouver. if you are so good you should overcome injury. we lost toews and soared back. i hated the wings in the 90s and early 2000s, those teams cant sniff the hate i have for vanvouver. the one player i dont mind is luongo. his crybaby shit is a trickle down effect from the coaches and rest of the ***** teammates he has.

I can't give Luongo a pass because he repeatedly does himself absolutely NO favors. He's an idiot that doesn't understand he should just shut his mouth. Telling the press that he likes playing at the United Center? Talking silly shit about Thomas in the finals? So stupid.

The only guys on that team that I will give a pass- the Sedins. It's fun to shit on them for being soft and say that they're members of the Canadian swim team but that's just how they are. They're not tough guys and they shouldn't ever have to be. If the rest of that team wasn't such chickenshits, the microscope wouldn't be on the Sedin's toughness. Was Gretzky's toughness ever a serious issue? No, because he had McSorley making sure nobody touched him.

What do the Sedins have for protection? Kevin Bieksa? Yeah, he'll stop Viktor Stalberg from beating you up and that's about it. I find it harder and harder to really blame the Sedins. They're flat out skill guys that need to be protected as such. They don't get that protection so they do what they can- they try to draw calls and they take repeated punches in the face hoping the stripes will make the right call. Now their whole team has a shitty reputation of being cowards and divers... they're kinda screwed.

Add to all that them being counted on as team leaders AND the pressure of being European leaders in a Canadian city that is scarily into their team and it's just not a good mix. Lidstrom was able to lead the Wings but that was only after a lot of years gaining a lot of respect in an organization that is run in a much more professional way than the Canucks (the coaching difference alone is laughable).

I can't believe I just spent that much effort defending the Sedin's, but there it is. I don't hate them and I think they're in a real shitty situation through very minimal fault of their own.

Rumor that Daniel Sedin WONT travel to LA for games 3 and 4 and may be out for entire series

Yes. And it will be another excuse Van brass will use.

I had no sleep Thursday night as my poor dog was a wreck (I think she took the Hawks loss real bad but the vet said it was allergies - what do doctors know, eh) so I fell asleep a touch after the first. The "talk" was that Van was going to play whistle to whistle. Were they? I don't think they can walk that walk.

There were a few good scrums (one where Henrik was inside the net for the bulk of it and it ended up in Hansen getting tagged with a 10 minute), but it wasn't out of control or anything.

It's the Boston Bruins series all over again. Vancouver can't out muscle the Kings and they just can't crack the goalie- even on the power play. Vancouver is at their best drawing legitimate penalties and then using their fantastic skill to set up beauties on the PP. That just isn't happening against Quick and the 2 shorties that the Kings scored last night were real back breakers. The Canucks are rightfully frustrated and in game one they tried to balance things out with extra chippy play and some hilarious dives. Didn't work.

I will say they miss Daniel on the PP. There was a hilarious bit where Henrik circled back and forth behind the Kings net 4-5 times... holding on the puck the entire time. He was clearly looking for Daniel because none of his other team mates were open the way Danny boy usually is for him. It was so obvious and awkward to watch, even the Canadian broadcast pointed it out... he just kept circling waiting to snap that telepathic pass to his brother, but for obvious reasons- it wasn't there.

Yet, the counter point to that is- the Vancouver powerplay has been SHIT since the deadline.

Did Pierre seriously just make a Lorne Molleken reference during this Bruins game?

Alpo Suhonen, coming up next.

Another OT game in Bahston.. These early season playoff match-ups have not disappointed.
