Watched Frank when he was a rookie. watched Frank when he just got inducted. This guy is quite a bit like Frank in ability and demeanor.

I just saw that his BA has climbed to .299. Although very much a long-shot, this guy might wind up in a Triple Crown possibility. Truly an amazing hitter. Whoever scouted him and signed him deserves a big BIG raise!

And the streak continues

I got so excited when he hit .300 avg. He is a crazy hitter. If the avg wasn't sp high and you would need only .320 to lead the league I would have said that he could have won triple crown.

He's a great power hitter and as he gets another year under his belt he might even become a .300 hitter, but with his lack of speed I don't see him ever hitting for a high enough average. Not that I am complaining at all. I really love me some Abreu.

OK, let's make an assumption that the DH spot is filled internally and we don't resign Dunn.

I could envision that Abreu would be like Dunn in that he could be the "veteran" that mentors Avi. Avi starts in the 6 slot and if he performs well gets promoted to 3 with Abreu 4 by Mid May.

all depends on how Avi hits. I think Wilkins has the ability to take over DH or 1B and allow Abreu to either keep playing 1B or go into the DH spot.

And I don't think Abreu needs high speed to hit for high average. Cabrera?

Cabrera is miles ahead of Abreu as a hitter. Abreu is good and could even be MVP, but the phone rings and I trade Abreu without question.

Frank couldn't run either but he hit over .300 for his career:)
