Also announced today that Cooke got suspended for the rest of the season and the 1st round of the playoffs for this hit:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lmn2B0TuF8]YouTube - Matt Cooke Headshots Ryan McDonagh (HD Multiview)[/ame]

He's a very good player when he isn't out there intending to hurt (literally) the opposition. Supposedly, Mario, the hypocrite, told Matt that he'll be sent elsewhere if he chooses to continue to play as such. Here's a chance for Mario to put his money where his mouth is...but I doubt he will pony up the million according to his very own proposal letter on reform.

Glad to see the hammer dropped on Cooke.

Good player sure, but the guy plays like a shitbag way too often. He's absolutely part of the problem the league is having.

Anyone that isn't watching the Penguins/Red Wings game needs to turn it on. It's insane, the Wings have come back from a 4-0 deficit at the beginning of the third to tie it.

Correction: The Red Wings were down 3-1 at the beginning of the third, but it's still a spectacular game.

Anaheim, currently in 8th with 40 wins, looks to be getting back a key piece to their roster in Hiller. He will be on their 3 game road trip coming up (the 3rd being here in Chicago).

Kopitar injured today. Might be a hell of a RA sprain...or maybe worse. He put no weight on it on the way back to the dressing room.

Edit: torn ligaments
