I know we all complain about Foley, but listening to other teams broadcasters there are some that are just terrible and others that are good but boring. I think we complain because we deal with him for 90% of the games. Despite his drinkyness and missed calls he still calls a pretty exciting game. Even though I often want to bash his and Eddie's heads together.

No, I think the real problem is that we've heard them both be very good at times, Eddie nationally has had some pretty good games, Foley with Stevie K isn't as bad, and Foley with Tallon used to be tops in the league. And now together, they are just a marketing tool and respond accordingly. They are their own brand now and they think that this shtick is part of it. I can't remember where I read it but he was asked about how he calls a game differently now than when he was doing both radio and tv and he said that since folks can see it and it's all in HD with surround sound he doesn't have to be as detailed. That right there was the start of his downfall. He thinks now his job is just to be part of the entertainment on the ice. And Eddie falls into the same brand. Personally, I want it to go back to a good hard radio type call, but it could just be me and the folks older than me, a lot of newer fans (won't say bandwagon) may not realize what they are even missing. Especially when they have to listen to penishead on the national broadcasts.

I think I've been spoiled with John Wiedeman on the radio... all I want is to hear him call every game. Getting the two feeds to sync up is like winning the lottery to me.

Yeah, I love them. There's a device for use with a radio that syncs up the audio to the game. Won't work with the internet feed though as it's usually behind by about 30 seconds.

Interesting, but the problem I have is that the broadcast is faster than the radio signal... that says that it can slow down the radio feed by up to 16 seconds, but can it speed it up? Otherwise I'd be paying $60 for a paper weight lol.

You can just get TuneIn radio, the app for your phone and pause the radio the 5-7 second delay that tv gets. You would obviously need speakers but it would definitely work.

i let foley have a pass cuz i do remember the horrible days of Marha and ABC only road games and earlier where he had to be detailed for radio and actually showed off his skill. I kinda like Eddies silliness really. I dont need a commentator i watch it no matter what anyway.

Yeah, that was pretty brutal. Would it kill them to say who gets the assists on goals? Sometimes a few players are hacking at the puck and it's not clear who got the assist. I try to listen to the stadium announcer over their babbling. And Olczyk wasn't even here tonight.

I was realizing this yesterday listing to the only two games broadcast and the night before.
Mickey Redmond has always been just the worst homer there is, then yesterday with the NHL Network using the Pens feed, and the only HD feed for the Bruins was Jack Edwards it was in hell.
Wings, Pens and Bruins are the most bias mother ******* in the business. There is ZERO Objectivity in their broadcast what so ever.
So for all Pat and Eddies stupid repetitive shit, at least they are not one thing.... Exclusively bias for their team. They call it all out for the most part, when they actually call the game that is.
And I'd like to give a shout out to all you ******* just because. Remember, keep your fucking sticks on the ice and just after praise ALA Mconough/rock while your at it. STOP IT RIGHT THERE!

Sucks about Frankie. RIP for his mom. Couldn't find a nicer guy and he does just about everything for both the Bulls and the Hawks when it has to do with logistics in that building.

He loses attention in every game, several times, where he's off on a tangent. Thank God I only have to listen to them for a few games a year. Shame I can't just sync the radio feed as Weideman/Murray blow Foley/No Check out of the water.

Yea don't even the mention of him changing his voice, either like a 12 year old with "Tree turdy Tree" or trying to impersonate, or yea, just acting like a 12 year old. It's just not funny anymore.
