Also, TCD, I want no parts of the Wild in the first round. You talk about momentum ... they've been the best team in the league on the back half of the schedule.

Give me Nashville or St. Louis or Winnipeg. Two teams with little to no playoff experience and the other always manages to self-destruct in the playoffs.

The Stars have lost their last 2, and when it really matters, Dubnyk will realize that he's at the end of his heroic streak. Sadly, he will soil his uniform, and leave a disgusting brown stain in the blue paint. Actually, it will be hi-larious.

To me, the Wild are the perfect first round opponent.

because dallas sucks!!!! hairy balls!! poopy balls!!!!

Shits getting fun in the West with those 6,7,8 seeds though. Who knows Vancouver might not make it. I hope they collapse. A Kings and a Flames win tonight is going to make that noise extra fun.

Aren't you required by BC law to be a Canucks fan?

I'd disagree. I think the new format really hammers home those division rivalries, and rivalries are what make this sport so fun, IMO.

I fucking HATE the St. Louis Blues right with a passion I can barely describe in words. And last year's playoff series between the two was just another gallon of gas on a raging inferno.

For me it gets repetitive. Prepare for 8-9 Blues games in the next three weeks

I wouldn't mind St Louis with Tarasenko out

Lol no. I was watching them from my desk on tv and watching people run out of their condos in the neighborhood to go join in. Was funny how the media spun it as if it were just a bunch of young bad apple non hockey fans who were rioting. Not from my viewpoint when i witnessed loads of canuck fans leave their condos to go join in. Had to walk through the dieing moments when i was done work and some stupid **** pepper sprayed me...they were spraying everything at that point clearing the streets no matter who you were. Was a shit show. 94 was worse though...those canuck fans were pissssssed at Steve Larmer and the Rangers. Gotta love Larmer.

Yah that does even the playing field somewhat. And that Blues goalkeeping? Still questionable but you never know even the strangest goalies can get hot. I dont mind playing the Blues i think the Hawks raise up for them. Still a good team them blues though as much as i hate em. Not sure how healthy Shattenkirk is these days either. I would take that match up again right now.

I thought it was just the junkies didn't get a free needle exchange that day and they used the Canucks loss as an excuse to vent.

"Whaaat? No free needles. Let's tear this city, down. Those dope smokin' condo folks are just too laid back to riot properly. They can't even get hard at the nude beaches, not that us junkies care about sex. But a riot. Hell, yes! No needles. let's tear this city down!!!"

If we beat the Wild (in reg or OT for sure and possibly with a shoot out win) and Jets beat the Blues, we'll have a chance to overtake the Blues on Thursday (and posibbly the division lead).

Pfffffft needles. Get with the times broooo. The junkies just cut holes in their arms now and shove the rock right up in there. Thats actually funny because i actually dont remember seeing any of the homeless vancouver folks or the street burn outs anywhere near the riot areas. Even they were smart enough to get the **** out of dodge and probably just broke into the condos of those who left to go riot. Intelligent move i must say.

Im actually more interested in the fight for the last wild card right now. That game coming up btw the kings and flames is going to be an early playoff game which is awwwwwwwwesome!!

Dont get me wrong Hawks having a chance for the Division is fun too. I just want to know the match ups now so i can get my playoff pools moving. Gotta love this final week of the season though. One thing the league got right is to create an action packed end of the regular season. Been a few years now with these intense finishes. Fun fun fun.

Love to see the Kings lose. Regardless, that game and the Flames vs. Jets to close out the season will both be great viewing.
