Not only is the Hawks series not officialy over the Ducks/Flames are at 2 games to 1.

But I will take the Colorado Avalanche in 2

Probably 90% probability that it is going to be Hawks/Ducks as the Hawks always need to face a California team in the playoffs at some point. But I wait for predictions once we know the health and well being of the teams involved. Lots of time for Getzlaf to pull his groin on Corey Perrys big forehead.

All I wish now for the Hawks is to finish the series against the Wild with zero to min. injury. Always a concern.

It would take that and more to stop the Hawks the way they are playing now. It took them a few games once Kane came back to find their groove but they are crushing it. When the Hawks are winning 1-0 games, it's ovaaaaaaaaa folks!!

Up 3-0, it's over brother.

No it isn't.

It was over when the Blackhawks were down 1 - 3 to the Red Wings a couple years ago...right?

Extremely premature here. Give a little respect to the Wild, they have shown they can be a very very hot team with a very very hot goalie. Obviously this is the best position a team can be in, but it has been done before and has been done as recently as last year.

Also...who ya got? My guess is, that on a Blackhawks message board, that we can assume who most people are going to pick for pretty much every series.

Agreed. Its not over til its official... and winning game 4 is the toughest out of all of them to win. This Minnesota team is a pesky bunch with a hot goalie, thus the Wild are not a team I'd want to be 3-0 against.

is there a reason why my poll thread which was NOT premature speculation was moved to a forum I can't even access for some reason now?

No, it isn't, which is why only four times in the history of hockey has a team down 3-0 come back to win a series. It is a quaint hockey-ism, however.

At what point if not now does Dubnyk stop being qualified as "hot"?

and it's happened twice in 4 years, so it could be argued that it's becoming more common.

Only if you consider 4 years a valid sample size as compared to 97 years of NHL hockey. YMMV.

off the top of my head, in the last four years I can think of four teams that have come back from 0-3 to tie the series, and two teams that have won the series down 0-3

so yes, it is becoming more frequent with the parity in the NHL.

Yeah, the Hawks were down 3-1 in that series, but had 2 of the final 3 home games at the UC. They only had to win one game in Detroit. Plus, that was a Hawks team that had tons of players with Cup experience and had eviscerated the league in the regular season. Minnesota has none of those wings. Wildly different scenario.

This series is over.

Do the Blackhawks have 4 wins? If they don't, then the series isn't over. Sure, the Wings series was a different scenario but it still shows what can happen and how many people counted the Blackhawks out (especially around here) at that time?

Sure, the Blackhawks are extremely favored to win the series at this point (and obviously I think they will close it out), but I'm not stupid enough to say that the series is over when it isn't. I'm a fan who doesn't have control over what happens on the ice, so why am I going to be cocky and act like I know the future and how the rest of this series is going to play out? Have to give a little respect to the Wild and what they can do.

They also don't have Mike Richards, the willing force of those 0-4 comebacks... or at least the 1st one.
