Do the Blackhawks have 4 wins? If they don't, then the series isn't over. Sure, the Wings series was a different scenario but it still shows what can happen and how many people counted the Blackhawks out (especially around here) at that time?

Sure, the Blackhawks are extremely favored to win the series at this point (and obviously I think they will close it out), but I'm not stupid enough to say that the series is over when it isn't. I'm a fan who doesn't have control over what happens on the ice, so why am I going to be cocky and act like I know the future and how the rest of this series is going to play out? Have to give a little respect to the Wild and what they can do.

No, I don't.

Play around with the semantics all you want. This series is over. Minnesota's team, as currently constructed, ain't coming back from a 3-0 deficit against this Chicago team.

And I can tell you why ...

because it's really fucking fun to do when your team is so obviously superior.

In order for the Wild to get to the playoffs they had to go on a ridiculous run. This is hockey, this is the NHL, things can happen. I'm not counting the Wild out. I don't care if it is 3 - 0 in favor of the Hawks. Like I said, I fully believe that the Blackhawks will close out the series but I'm not saying the series is over. Hell, I hope the Blackhawks win the next game and rest up till they play the Ducks/Flames.

It's almost like they ridiculously overachieved in the back half of the season just to make the playoffs, and now they're regressing heavily to the mean.

...and when they play like they are and don't take periods off to allow 3 goals.
I doubt that happens again in this series.

I actually want the Wild to push it to 5. Too long of a break is no gouda sometimes. Depends how fast those other series end though but knowing the fucking Rangers they will manage to get the Caps to seven delaying the third round for every other team that will be resting. Dont want a week off while the Hawks are in the groooooove daddy o!!

But thats all just bullshit anyways. Im sure the Hawks would be fine taking a week off and skating every fucking day in a rat hockey rink. Not sure what rest is needed though this Wild series is tame. Nobody appears to playing with a punctured lung..only craw playing concussed.

No, but historically they have something like a 97.8% chance of winning the series. It seems superstitious and goofy to sit here and argue semantics as if somehow a few fans on a message board declaring the series over is going to suddenly cosmically **** the team.

I don't think fans declaring it over is going to "jinx" the team in any way. I am fully aware of how high the chances are that the Blackhawks move on at this point. I simply think it is stupid for people to say the series is over.

Hopefully they end this in either game 4 or 5. Moving on the day game 6 would be played, and will be upset if I missed that game.

Agreed on how tame this series is. So far, the Blackhawks have escaped having to play a physical series...all while the rest of the West is basically trying to kill eachother.

The one reason I'd like to see the Blackhawks get some rest is so Kane can continue to get to 100%. He is playing great but he is still tentative and it will take time to get over that. Scary to think that he may only be 80-90% right now. Toss in guys having injuries that I am sure most don't know about and a little rest won't hurt. Just a little rest though...

Yeah...we need to hold onto our collective butts until its over. The goalies could do a 180 on us. The Wild just need to win at home, and what scares me is they are goddamn due at the united center. If I was the wild, I would be thinking.....we can win this home game.

then in game 5, we HAVE TO BREAK THE CURSE!! They will try everything to break the curse. Its always a post ding or two a game that decides these things. We could have easily lost to Nashville. We squeaked out some BS!! I don't even know what happened (Kane/Sharp/Toews/Hossa/Darling/Crawford/Vermette/Desjardins) happened.

Yeah....I don't care about Anaheim or Calgary. I just wanted Calgary to show up and thank god they did. This became a new series with 20 seconds left in the third period. 3-0 and anaheim cruising, now its a dog fight. PERFECT. Go to game 7 please, rest up Kane. Get those young Teuvo muscles healed. Old guys cheers all around, and we got the old guys. Rozy, Vermette, Hossa, Keith, Desjardin, Timonen all gonna benefit greatly from a rest advantage. If we have to go to anaheim, that might give us an edge in stealing game 1 or 2.

If this isn't Kane at 100%, I'd be scared to see him when he is. He has as many goals in this series as the entire Wild have combined.

And the series is over. Just wait until the Hawks beat the Ducks or Flames and then we can start the "Who will Toews pass the Cup to first?" thread. I'm sure I'll win a lot of people over with that one lol.

What curse? Playoff curse?
The Wild beat the Hawks with Dubs during the regular season. It can happen, but unlikely (they could pull out a game 4 win to stretch it one more).
Otherwise, the Wild are an outmatched team and have been since they've been playing the Blackhawks in '13 in the postseason.

There's no question for that... last year it was interesting because there was no real new vet to the club.

The question will be, does he full Sakic it though? I think no

Yeah it's pretty easy this year. I wonder who it would've been last year. In 13' it was pretty easy too with Zus on the team. But I went out on a limb and took Stalberg lol.
