A bit more than bad guys = good guys and good guys = bad guys. Not to mention Red was a bad guy who did a bad thing, the movie was more about redemption then it was about the latter. I think the reason so many people like it is it shows the daily struggle we all go through dealing with situations in our lives. It shows it in a much more dramatic sense but it is there nonetheless.
As Andy says "Get busy living or get busy dying"
But my favorite quote is: "Remember Red, hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies."
