Sorry bud. The alpha director duped a bunch of betas into thinking it was a mans film. Only true alphas recognize that movie is pure chick flick.

There are some very powerful scenes in the film, which says something for Stephen King and his ability to write drama.
Roger Deakins filmed it, and it baffles me that he hasn't won an academy award yet for his incredible cinematography. Directed well by Frank Darabont, and arguably the best film of 1994 (it had serious competition). Thomas Newman on the score delivers a powerful tone that helps deliver the theme, and the acting is top notch. Definitely in my top 100 of all time, which is saying something, because I've seen many films. It's probably one of the better American films from the last 20-25 years.

Loved the short story and love the movie. Stephen King was great back in the day.
