Last year, Seattle was very interested in Viciedo

Is Jackson still in Seattle? I would do that trade. He is a good veteran and has good contact and would make a good number 2 hitter. Rather have Melky or Kemp or Longoria though.

Sox looking to upgrade in LF & get more bullpen help too.

I am now pretty much against going all in for Cabrera. Too much money for what he brings to the table. If they want to trade Viciedo then fine but only if something comes back. He is only 25 years old and Alexi greatly improved his hitting approach from when he came up so why can't Viciedo. He has pretty much more home-run power than any outfield free agents out there. They should not trade Viciedo unless they get something more valuable as a future player back.

Yeah but its not like viciedo has shown any improvement. He keeps looking the same or worse every game and his defense has been absolutely terrible. He was rated as one of the worst LF in the league.

I thought that he did show flashes of progress last year but it wasn't enough. I'll agree with that. His major problem is that he cannot lay off the high cheese as was Alexi's problem and is most of the Cuban hitters problem.

I'm just saying that I would rather replace Flowers and get another starting pitcher than replace Viciedo who they can platoon with someone. I still like that 3A guy Watkins who could hack it at LF or even 3B.

They still have three big question marks on this team.........Catcher, LF, and 2B, assuming the keep Alexi. They also are not very strong at 3B. This is not enough to contend, even in their dog ass division. They need two decent bats out of those 4 positions. My choice would be getting Longoria and possibly move Connor Gillespie to second base. Then try and package Danks and Flowers for a catcher.
